It looks like the Jackmans and Donna Karan share similar advocacies. Wasn't this interview held somewhere (Governors Island) for another fund-raiser?
I remember the first time I saw them in a photo together was when Donna had inaugurated a portion of a park on the West Side in the southern end of Manhattan. I am not too sure but it may have been in honor of her late husband. Maybe someone can correct me on this? But I do remember Hugh and Deb and a very young Oscar sitting down on the curb while watching the ceremonies.
Donna is active in her advocacies for Haiti ( teaching them about the commercial possibilities of native work and handicraft) while Hugh and Deb are involved with Ethiopian farmers re their Laughing Man advocacy.
And didn't the Jackman once spend a holiday in her private sanctuary in the Caribbean? It was once featured in Architectural Digest and I can see who it would appeal to the Jackmans - absolutely beautiful but serene and quiet!
