Watched Les Mis at the London premiere , cried in the same places again...@realhughjackman you are wonderful in this roleRussell has been very supportive of his friend being recognized for his Jean Valjean portrayal! Jo Russell has also been very vocal about how strong Hugh's leadership was throughout the filming. I also remember in one of the magazine interviews that Eddie did where he talked about that, in particular the convicts in the water scenes that so many extras didn't think they could handle but watching Hugh do it encouraged everyone else. He's such an amazing guy, I truly hope he gets his due come Oscar time! Sue |

I have a feeling that Russell will try to do some silent campaigning with some of his friends at the AMPAS in favor of Hugh! I hope so!
Re the Hugh look -- I have wondered why he is back to the scruffy look when he is wearing the best of French tailoring. Could he be starting to grow facial hair again for his next movie project? Prisoners filming has been moved forward, back to January ( 16th) - so, I wonder if there is a connection.
Although Deadline Hollywood which reported today on the additional casting of Terence Howard in the movie reports a February filming start.

Just back from a week-long trip in Disney and getting caught up on all of the Hugh news is wonderful. Those photos of him in the Lanvin suit without the coat are gorgeous! I also love the one of him and Anne. They're adorable together.

From what I have read -- *New York is Dec 10 *LA is supposed to be Dec 13 ( according to one AMPAS voter) *Tokyo is Dec 18 *South Korea is close to Tokyo, not sure of the date *Sydney is Dec 21 I am a little sad that no attention has been made for a premiere in Paris - where it all started  Jo |

It opens in Paris in late Februrary - so maybe something can come up then -- but it would be almost anticlimatic ...And the cast may be too busy by that time. Jo |

They both looked super-spiffy. Most glam was probably either Samantha Barks, who wore a gold, low-cut, body-hugging long gown; or Anne Hathaway, in a very sleek black number with black, lattice-like ties up the leg.

Just got my tickets for Les Mis today. I didn't want to get shut out. It doesn't start in my area till noon on the 26th and is only playing in one of the 16 theatres. With the following that it has in the social media, I expect it to be truly crowded. I have never done anything this crazy before, but since I don't know where to see it at midnight on the 24th, I'm definitely going to get in on the 25th. Crazy yes, but it really is exciting > |

Richard Kind was over the top, as were Zach Brafman and a dozen or more celebs who braved the annoying rain. By the time the night was over I’d had long talks with ecstatic execs like Ron Meyer, Donna Langley, Adam Fogelson, and Eric Fellner. Plus, there was Hugh and Debora, Anne Hathaway, her family and husband Adam Schulman; Sacha Baron Cohen, who nearly steals the movie with Helena Bonham Carter; and the amazing Samantha Barks who’s only 22 and is poised to become a huge Broadway star.
