DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is now trending worldwide on Twitter! twitter.com/search?q=%22Days%20of%20Future%20Past%22&src=trenWhen Hugh hosts the TONYs on June 28, DAYS OF FUTURE PAST would have been released for just a little over two weeks! I bet the grin on his face will partly be because of the TONYs/theatre as well as the expected box-office triumph of Days of Future Past

Big Day -- trailer alert for the second trailer! Is that 9:00 am eastern? Which is exactly 12 hours behind our time here. I am little intrigued by his hashtag "#DOFP I" - what is the "I" for? Will there be a direct sequel to DOFP ( as in DOFP II)...or is that reserved for APOCALYPSE? Jo The "I" is part of the next sentence. Something may have gotten messed up in the copying/pasting cause the sentence was "I, on the other hand have a 6am call." My son came over this AM & since I was expecting him I waited for his arrival (around 10) and we watched the trailer together...a few times Looks really awesome! He did note however that there was no sign of Rogue! Of course the adults of the world will know that they can't feature everyone, but there will be fallout among Rogue fans. They seem to be giving a little extra screen time to Shadowcat/Kitty Pride, Iceman and Colossus, as well as introducing a few new mutants. The Marvel & X-Men universe is vast so they'll never be able to please everyone. I can't wait to see the finished movie. I think it's going to be incredible. Sue

It's been 14 years since movie audiences were introduced to the cinematic Wolverine via Hugh Jackman ! Has he changed this much, based on this poster ? The look of Wolverine --*This is the first time that he wears an XMEN uniform that echoes the colors of his original comic book gear, albeit this is a much more toned-down version. The blue is not royal ...and the yellow is definitely more camel than daisy-yellow ...There are tones of grey ( Singer likes his costumes dystopian-looking)...If you look at the poster from a distance - the original yellow-and-blue color combination is echoed in the poster background and Mystique's blue scales. *His hair shows a bit of grey -- not really because Hugh has started to show grey in his facial hair...but because Wolverine shows temples of grey in the original comic book story of DOFP. *His hair is spiky...again different from The Wolverine, Origins( the best one I liked!), and all the other XMEN movies he appeared in. *His muscular frame is more clearly etched in this uniform, than in the classic Wolverine uniform of leather jacket and jeans. Of course his white t-shirt/vest ( "wifebeater"?) has also become iconic! *In the trailer and on the poster, Hugh's face is definitely fuller ( he shot this movie right PRISONERS) - or is it just the hairstyle? I wonder what the next and maybe final Hugh/Wolverine persona will look like? Jo

Re Wolverine's going grey in the temples -- this was Bryan Singer's explanation :

Not sure if this is a spoiler --vimeo.com/90770790It looks like he is going to have a few scenes with young Beast in the 70's. It also seems Logan/Wolvie is fully aware of what it is going to happen in the future while he was transported to the 70's, because he tells Beast they are going to see more of each other/be friends in the future. I thought the Wolverine who will be transported back is free of memories of the future. Jo

Many tweets in the recent past castigating or laughing at Disney+ for adding long hair to cover Daryl Hannah's backside ( from the movie SPLASH) Jo

http://instagram.com/p/CCgYxDfDrpm On the business side of things -- Is DISNEY+ doing this because DISNEY itself is financially hurting from the presumably temporary loss of their traditional cash cows ( mainly the theme parks)? Also, they have been criticized for editing movies available on their streaming service. Even the withdrawal of GONE WITH THE WIND resulted in people cleaning up all the DVD shelves at retail outlets and even became the # 1 bestseller at Amazon ( prime video and physical videos ( DVD/BluRay). They were criticized heavily for editing the scene with Daryl Hannah in SPLASH. They could have prepared the contemporary social commentary and withheld Gone with the Wind until that was ready. So, are they now realizing that people who pay for streamed movies want the original artistic material, not edited to make it conform to rules for TV. Free TV is not the same as paid-for-TV. Even the local HBO here is guilty of editing ( they edited some of the gay scenes in Bad Education - good thing I also subscribed to the streaming service under HBO-GO). I saw Days of Future Past recently on HBO and they edited the nude Jackman scene. Maybe Disney+ has fully realized this now. Let the viewer make the value judgment ( like watching R rated stuff) as he is paying to view the original artistic material. Disney+ chose well with their first R rated movie being released completely UNEDITED. It is among the highest box-office movie in the XMen franchise and is well-rated by critics. Hugh Jackman is also the most popular of the XMen stars. Maybe they are also testing reactions, so they can consider if the more controversial movies like DEADPOOL can be released as it is? Jo

variety.com/2020/film/news/hugh-jackman-butt-uncensored-disney-plus-wolverine-1234704253/Variety features a full article on the celebrated release of the uncensored Days of Future Past! LOL! Most famous b*tt in the history of filmmaking now -- in the sense that it ushers in a more liberal policy for streaming movies from the rich Disney+ vault! Lol - after they streamed Hamilton - now comes Hugh Jackman in all his glory ( oops. Sorry, Hugh ) What an irony that this comes from the company that became famous for kids entertainment! Jo
