Great photos, Jo, thanks. But Dali's a frenchie, not a pug. And isn't he back home in New York under someone's temporary custodial care?

Sorry, I thought it was Dali, but I was actually wondering why he looked a little different Thanks, Ellen -- maybe he didn't get a proper passport and visa to travel - LOL!

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing that Sue (and Val)! Very obvious then why they're going with the shorter hairstyle so it's just like how he was in the comic version.
I've noticed by the photographs Jo that it wasn't an illusion Hugh being quite lean in his Twitter photos! He is probably the leanest I have ever seen him play Wolverine. Usually he's quite bulked up, but not here. Didn't Aronofsky (when he was originally going to direct this) want a bulkier image of Logan? Here, Mangold seems to have gone in the other direction regarding the look. It's interesting how directors see a completely different vision concerning a film. I'm looking forward to see how Mangold has done this.

James Mangold tweets again -- Enigmatic exchanges with a fan -- 21hRob Taylor@djthis @mang0ld where does your Wolverine fit into the existing Fox X-Men time line? #NerdsNeedAnswers
13hJames Mangold@mang0ld @djthis I can't answer you now nor could I answer before, but after everything is over I can answer, and that, in itself may be an answer. 1:50 AM - 5 Sep 12 · Details
13hRob Taylor@djthis @mang0ld *tilts head in confusion* Thanks... I think?
11hJames Mangold@mang0ld @djthis its all in there, pal.
11hRob Taylor@djthis @mang0ld I didn't get it then, but I get it now, and will also understand later *************************************************** Enigmatic!! Is his answer - in the present, in the past, and in the future? I hope the fanboys pick this up and discuss what he may have meant, based on the many stories from the XMEN book. Maybe the filmsites will pick it up and initiate some questions for the fanboys to puzzle over? Haha - I guess I am too shallow a fangirl to know the XMEN canon Jo

I wonder if his body size is smaller for health reasons. He went almost straight into filming from Les Mis. Maybe he didn't want to bulk up too much too fast? Or if maybe they're trying to tie this movie into the first X-Men movie, where he was naturally smaller? Very curious to find out.

And what a contrast -- there is a poster of Les Miserables, also inspired by Warhol! This reflects the great duality in Hugh's career! Jo

1. Thanks Valerie for helping me out with my picture posting problem. 2. Jo, love the comparison between the Les Mis Warhol style poster & the Warhol Wolverine. 3. I've often noticed that when he has clothes on his bulk isn't very noticeable. So maybe when he takes his shirt off we'll see that Wolverine bulk! He does seem leaner though.

Seeing Hugh give back and always signing and giving back REALLY makes him so special. Besides being the "triple threat" that he is, it's his being humble and always willing to share that makes him so special!!!

More from the original source material -- There is one scene where Wolverine is amazed at the speed of the bullet train (shinkansen) as he stood outside -- I wonder if they are also including an incident with the bullet train in the movie? Jo

A fanboy posted this separate photo of the Japanese actress who plays Mariko -- Hey Jo, from that comic book picture the actress playing Mariko (in the photo above) looks more like she should be playing Yukio!

Both Japanese actresses are really more known as fashion models ( notice the height and the way they dress and pose for fashion photos?)...I am hoping they do have the acting knowhow. I wonder if they were taken as Wolverine's leading ladies because they have worked in America and are English language-fluent? On top of their exotic looks?
Btw, if someone has seen the September issue of Vogue, the actress who plays Mariko ( Tao Okamoto) is shown in a beautiful ballgown on Page 750. She is among Asian models in the feature on models over the years.
