I guess it's time to start a SPOILERS thread on Prisoners as we draw closer to the filming. This also makes it easier for those of us who have read the screenplay.

I am always wary about when to consider something spoilerish or not -- bad judgment on my part, I guess ;D Plus I am the type who likes to read as much as I could about a new film project -sorry Can we lay down the rules on what to post here and what to post on the general thread? All I remember is not to say if someone dies or not - too simplistic, I guess! Thanks. Jo

I wonder - do we have the option of enclosing a discussion under a spoiler tag, if we are not sure? This is a spoiler! I guess not ...unless there is another way to do it. Jo

Jo, I started this because of something Luzie posted on the Prisoners thread: She posted this: "Please, can you do me a favor? I haven't and won't read the script, could you at least warn before you comment some spoilers, please? Or better, open a new spoiler thread? I want to get surprised when I see the movie, and unfortunately now I already know more about the characters and storyline than I'd like to know. " So, I figured if we're unsure if we're spoiling something for someone, we can just post it here instead of us keep putting **spoiler** before everything we post on the other thread. I didn't really think we were giving anything away on the other thread, but this way if we discuss the screenplay at all, we're free to do that. I'm like you in enjoying to learn as much about a project as possible (including reading the screenplay). Others out there are opposite and prefer to know nothing about a project and be completely surprised. So, in respect for them I started this thread.

I guess we can use the other thread for developments during filming...but that won't really be much, except if we can get paps photos, mid-filming interviews, and maybe actual press releases. I am hoping that it will be covered by film sites a lot because of the script's fame and the actors' acting fame! But maybe we can move on to this thread when we want to specify something from the script that may be too much of a disclosure of the plot or the character's actuations... or when the movie is released and we want to discuss specifics. It is funny - but in the case of Les Miserables - we had the same problem on IMDB but since it has been published for 150 years, has had many film adaptations, been on stage for 30 years ( if you consider Paris) and have albums that contain the entire libretto - some people still want a SPOILER thread. But that was hard and nobody could really comply ;D I hope we don't end up posting everything here, or people like Luzie won't have much to follow Jo
