Not directly from the play - but taken by Annie Leibovitz for the VOGUE feature on A STEADY RAIN!

Sitting at front row was such a great treat - especially for : *One scene where he stood at the back, sideways and immobile, staring slightly upwards... while Daniel Craig spoke his monolog. Hugh looked almost like a supernatural figure ( angelic)! *When he played one of the last moments with emotional depth - you can see the tear running down one eye at a most poignant moment ( which was repeated in other performances). Sorry for the gushing Jo

That was the last time I was in NYC - to see A Steady Rain! And it rained that night! Afterwards a bunch of us ate at Sardi’s.

A Daniel Craig fan reposted the photos, which I used to respond to a tweet.

He sat like this for most of the time when he was sitting down ( which was most of the time in the play) in A STEADY RAIN. I don't remember if the more timid character played by Daniel Craig adapted the same posture.

I don't quite remember reading this review A Jazz-hands Wolverine & a stony-faced Bond nymag.com/guides/fallpreview/2009/theater/58511/Some of the graphics from the review -- **Giggle** Btw, one time - waiting for them to arrive at the theatre, Daniel Craig stepped right in front of me. I said Hi and congraulated him for the show. And his face broke into a smile ... with those brilliant blue eyes You may want to see all the fun graphics - check the link. Jo

Daniel Craig eventually thawed under Hugh's tutelage When I got to see A STEADY RAIN for the first time... I was standing near the stage door when he arrived. As he usually does, he went straight to the stage door ( even if the area was a bit crowded with fans. It so happened that he stepped right in front of me. I immediately greeted him and thanked him for his being in the show. He flashed me back a rare smile...) But it was when they BC/EFA fundraising came that he became warmer and started enjoying those moments, presumably because of Hugh's influence. Eventually, hw would stay after the show to sign stuff at the barricade. Jo

Excerpts -- Hugh also seemed to have turned Daniel Craig into a warmer person while they were on A STEADY RAIN. Initially, fans at the stagedoor said that he hardly gave time to those waiting for him. During the BC/EFA fundraising campaign, Hugh kept teasing Daniel into all kinds of (sometimes) ridiculous stunts to draw more bids. After that period, Daniel would happily sign stuff after the show. He was also smiling a lot more. If I remember correctly, they raised over $ 1.549 million in 6 weeks time. Jo

Talking about waiting for Hugh in A Steady Rain -- I remember when a group of us waited for him to arrive... and he arrived WALKING from 8th Ave to his theatre! Shock to see him walking with the crowd nonchalantly (no one seemed to notice him). When he arrived where we stood waiting, he said that he was running late but he would sign while we walk from from the nearby theatre where we met him... to the Schoenfeld. He signed my ticket to ASR from a previous performance I had seen. I walked inside the theatre...then noticed the merchandise booth inside the theatre itself, not in the hallway from box office to the actual theatre hall. I stopped and got myself a few items. When I was ready to go to my seat, I could not find the ticket I presented at the entrance - I rushed to the front to ask the usher for help...but she said she could not seat me without a ticket. She suggested that I ask the staff at the entrance... I rushed to the entrance and explained my predicament. The staff told me that since I got in, I must have presented my ticket...but suggested going to the box office for assistance so I could get a document to show my seat... I ran to the box office in the lobby. I explained my problem to the staff. The kind man told me he cannot issue another ticket on my Will-Call arrangement -- but he will print another copy of the transaction data. Not only that - he stepped out and kindly escorted me to the staff at the entrance! ... And I got seated in my seat - front row ...WHEW !!!!! LOL! Jo PS: A few months later -- I found my lost ticket inside a deep pocket in my bag that I did not see at that nervous time I could not find it
