Charlie Rose didn't record for me on the 24th. Did anyone else get the episode?

I don't know if anyone's posted that the Critics' Choice Awards will be aired on the CW on January 11th or not, so sorry if this is a repost.

Sorry, it won't play for me ( yet) I wonder about this -- >>>Discussing the upcoming musical Houdini, the Broadway vet shared, "Houdini, I gotta tell ya, is the most thrilling experience of my life, because I have done many musicals, but I've never been involved with the creation of a musical."<<< I assume the interview must have been done in the recent past ( although his facial hair has not been as thick as his more recent public appearances). But was Sorkin's departure already known or had it been brewing at that time? Or will that part of the interview be edited when the show is finally aired? Jo

That "acting lesson" in which Hugh explains how JVJ fights off his emotions while acting/singing angrily had me mesmerized. He is so invested and knowledgeable about the process and his craft, it just annoys me to the nth degree when people don't take him for a "serious" actor.

Just like for you, Jo, it's not available for me either. Drat. But on the plus side, February is looking like it will be "Hugh-rich", hehehe: Leno Feb. 4, then Actor's Studio (though it will probably not premiere on the 13th in Latinamerica, but some time later), and ... FINALLY... Les Mis opens down here, supposedly the 14th, just in time for Valentine's Day!

Jay Leno announced Friday that Hugh will be on the Tonight Show on Monday, February 4. It's supposed to be a new show, not a repeat. :-)

Hugh is in LA for the Oscar Nominees Luncheon that same day, so the Leno appearance is not unlikely.

Looking forward to both. Doesn't matter that the Grammys are televised at the same time as the BAFTAS; I haven't been a fan of the former for a number of years now. Uck! Really hoping Hugh pulls off a coup Sunday night. I remember last year's started with an entertaining salute to 50 years of James Bond (the Academy Awards are a bit late on that, hmmm?) and of course also featured that new comedic duo, Jacko and Rusty. Hoping for a return of that dynamic duo. Ellen

Actually last year sometime was the 50th anniversary of Bond (1962) and I guess this is the 1st time since then that the Oscars have been on. Nancy

For overseas fans who had no access to the Inside the Actors Studio preview clips, someone was kind enough to upload the Acting Lesson clip to You Tube -- www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gvmQ72Cwjc&feature=youtu.beI have always thought Hugh has an immense gift when it comes to crying scenes. Les Miserables and The Fountain were proof of that! But the most impressive to me was when he could cry at will ( onstage!) towards the end of A STEADY RAIN. Night after night ( 5 times for me), I could see him summon the tears at will -- and it was not even a major emotional scene - it was a quiet one where the emotions rise to the surface unknowingly.
