I don't know how to add a subject. Just wanted everyone to know PBS is going to schedule the Richard Marx segment of its new concert series, FRONT ROW CENTER, "sometime in July," on a date to be determined soon. Hugh was a special guest.

Ellen - There is a "new thread" icon at the bottom/right of each board. (Just to get started, I did it for you.)

Thanks for moving it. I see "new topics" on top but nothing at the bottom/right that indicates "new thread." What I see in that area are reply, share and print. I'm using Firefox. Is it viewable only with certain browsers? Oh-wait. Now I see it. It was under the News thread, not on the more specific TV Alerts page. That makes sense. No wonder it took me so long. Thanks again. Ellen

Hugh was a special guest. I think it's called Richard Marx A Night Out With Friends. I believe that this is a number that was done when the show was made. Don't know if it was included in the final production though. In this video the first line of the song (who can say for certain) is cut off. youtu.be/pCHnyn1XVv8 Also, the CD is coming out on June 19 and does list Hugh doing 2 tracks, The Letter & To Where You Are (see video) It is available for pre-ordering at Amazon. www.amazon.com/Night-With-Friends-Richard-Marx/dp/B007Y56JDQ/ref=sr_1_2?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1338392945&sr=1-2

Great info, Birchie--thanks!
Are there two versions of "The Letter with Hugh Jackman"? Because it's listed as being on both disc 1 and disc 2.

I just re-checked PBS' WNET-Channel 13 (NYC metro area) schedule. The "Front Row Center" with Richard Marx and special guest Hugh J. is scheduled for Friday, July 6, 10:30 p.m.

From what I've learned, it's being shown on earlier dates in some PBS markets around the country, so be sure to check your local listings.

Seattle Area is June 12 so be sure to check with listings for your local PBS station. The series title is "Front Row Center" and this episode is: Richard Marx A Night Out With Friends

Too bad Richard Marx was gone by the time I was able to see Hugh's show in SanFran. He did join Hugh onstage on opening night, for a duet, didn't he?

Looks like the CD is listed as a CD/ DVD combo Just saw Richard Marx talking about it on our local Atlanta t.v. show. The write up on Amazon is kind of confusing the heading still says audio CD but the description further down says CD/DVD combo. And it seems awfully cheap for a CD and a DVD. ($14.99) Did he say it was a combo too?

Jo Yes, they made a fine duet on "Right Here Waiting." I remember that Marx gleefully poked fun at Hugh's deliberately goofy "riff" during the song. I believe that was the Evening of the Ripped Pants, lol. Ellen

I sure hope so, then I won't have to stress about catching it on pbs

The "ripped pants" incident was the second night, the official Opening Night (May 4th). Richard Marx was at the first night (May 3rd). Was he there on the second night as well?
I'll be out of town when this airs in my market, but the disc will be on my doorstep the Tuesday after Father's Day when I will totally still be in town. A ripped copy for my iPod will be joining me on my travels.

I scoured my local PBS and can't find any mention of the show. I sent an email to them but I haven't heard back yet. I think I may write to Amazon for clarification too. They are usually very good at answering queries. If it is both it's a great price!!! :o

Nor did the pants rip again (damn you, William Ivey Long, and your expandable panels). Thanks for the memory jog, Liz.

Technically not an alert--or perhaps one that is almost 365 days tardy--but, I've been transferring my 2012 Tony Awards and specials from TiVo to DVD when I caught a clip of HJ on SF/Bay Area's Eye on the Bay sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2011/06/29/eye-on-the-bay-summer-entertainment-2011/I have no clue why this ran on June 29, 2011 when HJ's show closed on May 15th, but I suppose that is neither here nor there. Ooh! The UPS dude just drove up! I think my Richard Marx DVD is about to be delivered

Can anyone who's seen the PBS show already let us know if the program includes both of Hugh's numbers ("The Letter" and "To Where You Are")?
Thanks!
