You have given the movie world a memorable and powerful performance in a role that you have said was a role of a lifetime! You have been acknowledged for this achievement through your Golden Globe win and various nominations...and through many critical and fan praises written about it! We wish you the best on Oscar Night! May the honors that rightfully belong for your acting achievement be yours! More power to you And Break A Leg during the musical medley number with your Les Miserables family!!Jo

Whatever the outcome, I'm sure he'll have a great night doing what he loves, surrounded by family and friends. Go, Hugh!

Hugh has already earned a place in film history with his nomination. I hope that he and his family enjoy every moment of this very special experience.

Well said! All of us agree with all of your comments, I'm sure. Hugh's performance will only be more and more appreciated with time. And his place in film history is unchallenged because his great talent and professionalism go hand in hand with his extraordinary grace and kindness to others. Someone on TV said he is the people's favorite, and the one everyone hopes to see win. Yes, GO HUGH!!!

I also wish Hugh the best. He's been such a gentleman through all of the circus. He's in such incredible company for best actor. And he belongs there. It may not happen tonight, but it WILL happen.
It's good to be back. Sheila

What a gentleman. Even when (what's her name, I'm very tired) from Silver Lining Playbook tripped, Hugh was the first there to help. No matter what happened tonight, he will have his time. Everyone knows who is the nicest guy around and they just don't make them like him and Deb. He really is the best!!

Welcome back, Sheila! So good to "see" you here.
GOOD MORNING AMERICA ran a tape this morning of Anne's being interviewed post-ceremony by George Stephanolpoulos. She gushes about Hugh, calling him the "gentlest, sweetest, kindest, purest" man. Lovely sentiments (although re "purest," on SNL, dressed as Daniel Radcliffe, "Daniel" denied Hugh's virginal status, LOL)--but I do wish she'd have also mentioned how supremely talented and deserving of acting honors Hugh is.
Let's just hope next time Hugh's nominated, DDL has a fallow year.

How about a 10 year ban for DDL? That might do it

Just wanted to interject that I listened to an interview Hugh did with his bestie, Gus Worland on Gussie's radio show. The was talking about having lunch with several actors and called Daniel "DDL." LOL! I guess he goes by initials!
