Happy Teachers' Day!

I know today, May 15th, is Oscar's Birthday, but it also happens to be TEACHERS' DAY in Mexico, celebrated on this day since 1918.

So to Kathy, and all Ozalots who have the privilege of being teachers, happy teachers' day!

I just HAD to share what a fellow teacher sent to me, which seems specially appropriate for this Forum:

Congrats to all the teachers. I taught only briefly (high school English), so kudos to those of you who have made it your life's profession.

I also taught for a few years - but mostly professional courses in accountancy/finance/management.

But once a teacher, always a teacher

When I went back to a corporate environment ( banking), if there is new concept to be developed I fell into the trap of teaching how subordinates should plan and execute operating goals or implement projects. LOL - sometimes, I really should have left them more on their own rather than adopting a teacherly attitude a lot of times

Happy Teachers' Day to all those who enjoyed their professions in a schoolroom...and to those who were inspired by some of their mentors in school <cheer>
