Don't know if anyone else has been watching this show. It's a new show this year on BBC America. I just wanted to say WOW and didn't know where to go so I'm sharing my WOW here!
I stopped caring about the Emmy's years ago but if there was ever an actor who deserved one it's Tatiana Maslany! I wasn't familiar with her before but will definitely watch other things she's been in as I find them. In Orphan Black she plays many versions of the same character (I'm trying not to put spoilers) and is so amazing that you almost forget they are played by the same person. I've seen both Joanne Woodward and Sally Field do this and win awards and I think Tatiana Maslany's performance is even better than those! I don't know if BBC America shows even qualify for Emmy's but if not I think there is a TV category at the Golden Globes so maybe she can win something there.
I haven't been this hyped about a performance (except for Hugh of course) or a show in years! I highly recommend the show if anyone is interested.
I'm very picky about writing and notice every stupid miscue in every show I watch, which means I drive myself nuts alot, LOL!!! There is only one show left to the first season and there has been only one stupid pet trick that annoyed me. (slight spoiler here) They made the genius one do something incredibly stupid in show #8. I wanted to shout to the producers "a gay genius doesn't suddenly become a moron just because they had sex with someone, you boobs!" Anyway I'm still hoping that the mistake will somehow turn into a smart move in the final episode (#10).
It's funny, I almost didn't watch it because when I watched the first episode I wasn't thrilled with the first few minutes and almost turned it off but it got interesting in a big way and has upped the ante in every show since. PS: For any old Max Hedroom fans...Matt Frewer becomes part of the cast a few episodes in.
I hope someone here has watched it. I look forward to hearing opinions. I'm sure there is an IMDB board but I haven't even checked it because I hate most of what goes on in the boards there.
