Many years back, the American Theatre Wing sponsored a seminar on working in the theatre. Introduction was by Isabelle Stevenson and the guests included Nicole Kidman, Lea Salonga,Iain Glen ( then co-starring with Nicole in The Blue Room, although I had actually seen him in London in Martin Guerre and seen him as a film villain in the Lara Croft movie with Angeline J) and the Irish actress who played the lead in The Beauty Queen of Leenane(whose name escaped me). They had shared their experiences and theatre backgrounds in the discussions. One of the moderators is Pia Lindstrom, the daughter of Ingrid Bergman and is a very active member of the American Theatre Wing. There were six parts of the video but I have not located all of them. Here are some -- www.uvioo.com/watch/?m=fin&so=yt&v=mRv_UQINQCQwww.uvioo.com/watch/?m=fin&so=yt&v=YZYPY6GCckIwww.uvioo.com/watch/?m=fin&so=yt&v=0tk-Bis_rc4www.uvioo.com/watch/?m=fin&so=yt&v=SahPASJtJ8kIt would be nice to see Hugh participate in a panel discussion such as this about theatre, under the auspices of The American Theatre Wing ( of which he is still part of the Advisory Committee). He obviously loves the stage and has had the chance to appear in both musical theatre and a straight play. It seems that the ATW has held seminars on related subjects over the years but it seems there has been no chance ( yet) to invite Hugh to such discussions. Jo
