Lovely! But that reminds me: Whatever happened to that documentary on the '09 Oscars that showed Hugh rehearsing that "The Musical Is Back" number? Was it ever completed and shown anywhere?

Fan video. Mostly movies; a bit of song/dance from Oscars/Tonys. Nicely done.

Thanks Very well-made labor of love This Hughfan must love Van Helsing and Wolverine! But where were Oklahoma! and Back on Broadway - two of Hugh's towering stage hits ( easy access to YouTube clips) ? Was that background theme from one of the XMEN movies? Jo

Nice video, yes. Even with the omissions you cited, Jo, as well as those of PRISONERS and THE FOUNTAIN, arguably two of his four best movies. (At least the other two, LES MIZ and THE PRESTIGE, were represented.) I like that there was a fleeting glimpse of what I think is his most meltingly gorgeous closeup ever, the "I am the man who loves your sister" shot from KATE & LEOPOLD.
The music did indeed sound like something from the soundtrack of X-2: X-MEN UNITED.

Along with Les Miserables, The Fountain, The Prestige, and Prisoners, XMEN:Days of Future Past is considered a very well-made movie ( Rotten Tomatoes score of 92%, Metacritic of 74%) albeit Hugh was only part of an ensemble, but he played a critical role. He also got artistic acclaim for Erskineville Kings and Sunset Boulevard in his native Australia. And I would always consider his portrayal in A STEADY RAIN as part of his best work. Ironic that there was never any publicity videos from this well-guarded show performance - the only clip that slipped was that cellphone incident which appeared on TMZ. www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1m_fKbfcb4The first few seconds highlight Hugh's Denny portrayal, before the offending cellphone takes over - LOL! A fan-originated video compilation of Hugh appearances -- Run to 3'46" pronto! www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6EfEK-EIvgI have the CD but this (almost) sounds different -- deep baritone! Jo

Jo I never tire of hearing him sing in his lower register; wish he'd do so more often. Reaching too high increases the chance of nasality and perceptions of reediness. Stay low, those problems tend to disappear. Ellen

Not a compilation, but with time on my hands during the COVID 19 virus shutdown, I've been reveling in all of Hugh's Tony Awards hostings on You Tube; ditto his Academy Awards hosting. I've been spending many a pleasant hour watching and remembering all those wonderful moments, including the love he consistently receives from the Radio City audience.

I still have the complete DVD set of episodes which featured the young Hugh. Someone saw the appeal of that DVD set release when Hugh's star started rising fast I may still have my multi-region player. Jo

Which one is Snowy River? All of them. When I click on it I get the person’s Instagram page which has many different Hugh movies. Don’t see Snowy River. ETA: Okay, I clicked on the person’s screen name instead of View Profile and see it. Well, now I’m unable to reproduce what I just did to see it. I give up!

Had no idea where to put this. The person who published this has 4 million subscribers and apparently discusses how personal charisma can enhance interpersonal relationships. Here, his case study is Hugh's special brand of charm.

I don't know -- but that life coach seems to be implying that Hugh is simply putting it on!
Not true -- it is natural charm and charisma! It is also how he was brought up - his manner of dealing with people.
The clip author is using the many instances when Hugh charms people to construct a theory that charisma can be copied - simply know the many examples of Hugh's appeal -- and copy them. Hugh's appeal can be an inspiration, but not copying them per se!
IMHO
