I won't complain, if both appeared in a cameo at the end

More like wishful thinking...or maybe a more practical thought, because it will link the music video directly to the movie?

The clip went so fast, but after downloading it, I could admire his huge poster as the Ringmaster! Zac Efron is the Assistant Ringmaster Philip Carlyle, Zendaya is Anne Wheeler, and Keala Settle is Lette, The Bearded Lady -- also all shown on huge posters!

'Kingsman: The Golden Circle,' 'The Greatest Showman,' 'Murder on the Orient Express' and 'Alita: Battle Angel' were just a few of the major titles given sneak peeks.

20th Century Fox's CineEurope presentation may have been 40 minutes behind schedule, eating well into dinner time on the second day of the trade show in Barcelona, but the studio's bumper crop of on-stage talent more than made up for matters.
Opened by Fox CEO Stacey Snider, the lengthy show saw the likes of Colin Firth, Hugh Jackman, Kenneth Branagh, Matthew Vaughn and Robert Rodriguez introduce their latest wares, while some major projects were given exclusive sneak peeks. 
Vaughn and Firth were on hand to discuss Kingsman: The Golden Circle, with the director offering three high-octane clips from the comedy spy actioner, two of which were shown during Fox's product presentation in London last month. Due for release on Sept. 22, the sequel to the 2015 hit sees Firth, Taron Egerton and Mark Strong returning, with newcomers including Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Channing Tatum and Jeff Bridges.

Branagh gave a detailed intro to his all-star retelling of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express, from which early footage was shown and the latest trailer. 

There was also footage from the hotly-anticipated Jennifer Lawrence-starring spy thriller Red Sparrow, plus a behind the scenes look at survival drama The Mountain Between Us, starring Idris Elba and Kate Winslet and with two-time Oscar nominee Hany Abu-Assad in the director's chair. Meanwhile. there was a sneak preview of Maze Runner: The Death Cure, the recently-wrapped third and final installment of the Maze Runner trilogy. The film's production had been delayed by almost a year after lead star Dylan O'Brien was injured on set. 

Lightstorm Entertainment's Jon Landau, with the help of director Robert Rodriguez (and on his birthday), gave a major presentation for long-gestating sci-fi Alita: Battle Angel, showing an exclusive behind-the-scenes reel from the Manga adaptation.


Landau later offered the first ever glimpses of artwork prepared for his collaborator James Cameron's Avatar sequels, due to start shooting Sept. 25 and with the first due for release Dec. 2020. He also announced that Oona Chaplin had joined the cast. 

From the upcoming Fox Searchlights slate, the audience was offered the first look at the international trailer for the Emma Stone and Steve Carell-starring sporting biopic Battle of the Sexes, a teaser trailer of Goodbye Christopher Robin, starring Margot Robbin and Domhnall Gleeson, and the first look of the U.S. tralier for Guilllermo del Toro's The Shape of Water. There was also extensive footage shown from Martin McDonagh's Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, due for release November 10.

No Fox presentation would have been complete without a mention of Deadpool, despite production only have started on the R-rated superhero sequel, and Ryan Reynolds didn't disappoint, serving up a special CineEurope video message in costume from the set in Vancourver. 



But the finale was reserved for Hugh Jackman, who gave an impassioned and energetic intro to The Greatest Showman, the all-star musical drama about circus entrepreneur P.T. Barnum from director Michael Gracey. Starring Jackman in the lead, alongside Zendaya, Zak Efron, Michelle Williams and Rebecca Ferguson, the film – a sneak peek of which was shown to the CineEurope crowds – is due out Christmas Day.

Looks like they put on a truly spectacular show. Wish Fox would hold a sneak preview in the NYC metro area. But I'd settle for a teaser-trailer in the meantime.

An advance peek would be terribly exciting!

But would you believe that I won't be even able to see it at the same time as you all probably will at Christmastime? We are holding our usual exclusive local film festival ( everything foreign-made will be excluded during the time of the festival, unless you are rich enough to rent a special cinema and arrange and pay for a special showing for your many friends ( minimum of 50 people, I think), in which case it becomes a completely private showing - LOL! Not sure if going to HongKong to see it there is actually a cheaper proposition. But who wants to be in another country at that time of year? Like Les Miserables we won't see it during the time of the festival ( usually from before Christmas to early January) -- so, if we are lucky, maybe the second or even third week of January. I have been monitoring this project since we first heard about it in 2009 -- what is another month to add to that long wait

It looks like there will be some promotional tie-ups with major New York commercial establishments for the movie.

I wonder if the movie will also try to be part of the Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade? Maybe some of the circus animals and characters as among the huge bloated balloons? Maybe some of the clowns and other circus characters marching in the actual parade? Maybe Hugh and company performing at-the-end-of-the-parade live presentations. It's usually Broadway shows that join up for musical presentations ... but THE GREATEST SHOWMAN lends itself perfectly to such a participation.

*Barnum came from the tri-state area! The circus was a national entertainment attraction...part of historical Americana!

*Jackman is both a showman on Broadway and in Hollywood - so, this would be quite perfect!
