If you read the article from the movieweb site -- it mentions that the battle plan is inspired by HOME ALONE!

Part of the battle plan is a booby trap to catch HoneyBadger who looks like Wolverine

Since they are publicizing the movie now( it is called the Twelve Days of Deadpool), the reference to the Christmas setting for Home Alone, as well as that movie's theme, is probably not accidental. The movie is due out in the earlier part of February (February 12, two weeks earlier than the Feb 26 release date for EDDIE THE EAGLE).

So, will Hugh turn up in the movie in a Wolverine cameo?

The last time that I recall that Hugh was in Budapest was a few years ago when he did the Lipton ad and a supposed fan on a bike kept following him

He seems to be wearing the same jacket that we saw him wear for the first time (in photos) on January 10.








Plus James McAvoy is wearing very short hair -- didn't they wrap filming APOCALYPSE last September when he played a bald Prof Xavier( he had cut off all his hair and will be completely bald in the latter parts in the movie) -- so he was still growing his hair back - very slowly - at that time?

I guess the photo must be quite recent?? Before Hugh went to Oz or after he came back from Oz? Probably before Oz?

James McAvoy was supposed to have been filming in Budapest ( "The Coldest City ") starting November 2015.

There is now a debate on whether the next XMEN movies should all strive for an R-rating ( given the success of DEADPOOL) --

When asked whether he could see future X-Men movies being rated R, Simon Kinberg told Collider that some stories might be worth going to that extra level.

In his words:

"I think there are some stories that could be R-rated. I don’t know what they are, I mean I think the mainline X-Men movies have their own tone, which is a more operatic tone. It’s more dramatic, it is more PG-13 in a way. X-Force I could see being R-rated, and who knows?"


 Although an X-Force movie was announced back in 2013, it’s since been lingering in development, and it’s Deadpool’s release that renewed conversation about whether we might finally see it. Given that the mutant strike force takes on missions definitely not suitable for young eyes, it would definitely benefit from an R rating, if for nothing else then because Deadpool has been one of its members. Then, of course, there’s Deadpool 2, which will follow in its predecessors footsteps with the vulgar humor and rampant amounts of gore. As for the main X-Men movies, Simon Kinberg is right. Considering the appeal is has towards viewers of all ages, PG-13 is the appropriate balance.

So what other projects does that leave us? Channing Tatum’s Gambit is coming soon, but that spinoff’s action is unlikely to past PG-13 limits. New Mutants is also in development, but since that’s being labeled as a “young adult” movie, you can bet Fox won’t slap on a rating on it that requires a parental accompaniment.

But then the issue of an R-rating for WOLVERINE 3 is more contentious.

Finally, there’s Wolverine 3, Hugh Jackman’s last appearance in the X-Men film series. Over the years, many fans have asked to see Logan fully cut loose in an R-rated Wolverine movie, akin to the unrated version of The Wolverine. With those claws and his berserker rage, the bloodshed Wolverine could unleash would be more than enough to justify that rating. However, like with the main X-Men movies, Wolverine is popular among many age groups, and since the theatrical releases of his last two movies have been PG-13, it’s hard to see Fox switching it up for Jackman’s last hurrah.

So will Wolverine 3 be Rated R? Right now, officially, we don’t know. My guess is Fox may be leaning that way, but will ensure Mangold and Jackman shoot both an R-rated and PG-13-rated version of the film so they have options once the movie’s in the can. Unlike Deadpool, the Wolverine movies aren’t dripping with foul language or explicit sexual content, so it’d be pretty easy to craft a PG-13 cut during production by excising a few F-bombs here and there and simply cutting around the more graphic violence. The larger question is, do we need an R-rated Wolverine? Having not read the script it’s impossible to say whether R is “right” for this particular film, but it’s certainly an intriguing possibility.
