And transplanted New Yorker Hugh Jackman hopes to see one of Thanksgiving Day's most beloved traditions --
Hope the wind is less fierce and the temperature a little warmer for those lining the route for the Thanksgiving Day Parade! And the weather a little kinder for those coming home to their families!

Some jokester in the paper was calling it "Thanksukkah" or something! I'm on call tomorrow 3-11 pm (my turn for Thanksgiving this year. Next year will have Christmas call.) To everyone celebrating one or both holidays, have a good one! Nancy

Happy Thanksgiving & Happy Hanukkah a true rarity that they are both happening at the same time so an extra special thing to be thankful for. I'm also thankful for the friends I've made on the Ozalots forum-past & present-and the chance to share a love for a superior person in the world of entertainment, Hugh Jackman. Thankful this year that he listened to his lovely wife Deb & nipped his skin cancer in the bud. Very thankful that I'm in good health and that the family is (mostly) healthy too. I'll be spending the day with my family and although I've cooked several things to bring to the feast, I'm thankful that I have a DIL who will now take over the Thanksgiving hosting duties! This year I'll also be thankful to the Red Sox for winning the World Series Enjoy the day however you spend it and be safe if you're traveling. Sue

Happy, healthy (yeah, right) Chanukah and Thanksgiving! Just stood in the cold for the Macy's parade. First time I've ever seen a dreidel float; hope they keep it in each year. And while they're at it, what about a Wolvie balloon? Enough of Spider-man. May everyone enjoy a wonderful holiday season with family and friends! Love to all! Ellen

Here in the Philippines, while we were once an American colony, we do not celebrate the same day as Americans do for Thanksgiving. Although last night ( 13 hours ahead of EST), our family went out for a special Thanksgiving dinner ( with helpings of turkey, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin!)... but what I would like to say is --
We thank the world, the USA in particular, for the immense and truly generous response to our recent crisis due to the supertyphoon devastation! It is heartwarming to see not just all those pledges of aid/ donations and goodwill wishes but for teams from many countries come to our land and help us go through such a heartbreaking humanitarian crisis!
We thank you all!

That was suefb, Ellen But I have also entertained similar thoughts -- but if Wolvie wore only a "wife-beater", that may not be alright with all the children around - LOL! Another thought -- if they ever feature all-Disney characters, why not one of "Gaston" modelled after Hugh Jackman <cool> Jo

I'm actually now distracted by the thought of a t-shirt clad or, better yet, a shirtless Wolvie balloon!

A Wolvie balloon has my vote! Maybe we should start a letter campaign to the Macy's Parade committee! Down with Spidey let's have Wolvie! Sue

I watched this year's parade from my daughter's office in 30 Rock. Great view. Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.
