Just wanted to offer a humorous anecdote about my recent viewing of Frozen. First my granddaughter is SOOOO in love with this movie...her 5th birthday is the end of this month and all she wants is Frozen everything! Makes for easy shopping though LOL!
Anyway, I finally watched the movie and enjoyed it very much. I loved the music and of course I know that Idina Menzel plays Elsa and I liked her big number in the movie. So I lingered a bit when the credits started because there are sometimes cute animations during the credits and the big number was playing over the credits but I was immediately a bit shocked by how badly it was sung. At first I thought what the heck happened to Idina?? Then after listening for a minute I decided it couldn't be her. The person singing must have had very poor training...or none! At the end of each musical phrase was a very loud gasp for air. This is one of things I hate the most when listening to an untrained singer. I was going to turn it off but I wanted to see who was singing so I went to the end of the credits and looked at the songs, looked for the name on the last Let It Go and her name is Demi Lovato. Don't know if I spelled it right but I looked her up and she's one of that crop of poor singers these days that are spawned by the Disney channel
I miss the old Mickey Mouse Club! Maybe Annette wasn't the best singer but at least she had some training and breath control! That Demi must be very popular with the Disney channel fans because her version of the song on YouTube has lots of views! There's no accounting for taste. smiley-rolleyes010
Demi left a bad taste in my mouth so I found a YouTube video of Idina's version and thought I'd share it with you all. She has more views than Demi!
