I do have quite a few of his CDs and a few DVDs - he has an outstanding voice, being an opera cross-over artist into musical theatre. I have seen Anthony perform live once - as the Pirate King in Pirates of Penzance ( the time of TBFO-Arena Tour) and we had a lovely chat with him at the stagedoor.

His Enjolras in the Complete Symphonic Recording is outstanding.

Same here, Jo... and I'd love to see him again - but I wish he'd picked a different role for his Broadway debut.

I was excited to see that that announcement this morning, too. But the Warbucks character's songs aren't especially demanding, so I was surprised at his casting. Still, I've never seen him in person, so I'll likely go just to see him on stage.

Arrghh--I just learned that he turned down the role of Maxim de Winter in the forthcoming B'way musical REBECCA because he felt he was "too old." He's only 50. Couldn't he have just slapped on a wig and makeup? I'd have much preferred to see him as a dashing, mysterious figure.
