I've been wondering what happened to Michael after his turn in SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK. Thanks, Nancy.

I've been following the story ever since I first heard about it last year. Salem holds a special place in my heart because my grandmother was born there after her parents emigrated to Mass from Canada. It's a fun place to visit too if anyone ever vacations in the Boston area. There is so much real history re: Salem Witch Trials that can be gleaned to make an interesting series. I do hope they use some of the historical facts. It looks like some of the real participants are, in fact, listed in the shows cast listing including the character Michael Mulheran will play. He seems to play a relative, father or husband perhaps, of Mary Sibley who was involved in the hysteria of the time. She was the involved in the witch cake incident and was the aunt of one of the accusers. There is some historical info available here if anyone is interested: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salem_witch_trialsThe trailers make it look like it will be quite scary, more horror than supernatural suspense, but I'm hoping they don't make all witches into bad/evil horror characters. As I mentioned there is enough weird stuff in the real historical record to make an interesting series so I hope they focus on that and not just make it a horror show. Brannon Braga, who has produced several shows I like very much, including the new Cosmos series, is an Executive Producer. I will definitely be watching the show and I'm hoping it turns out to be very good! Sue

Watched the show! If you are squeamish, don't watch it! Pretty gross scene with Michael and Mary Sibley character! LOL! The show is interesting though! Nancy

Is Michael Mulheren the lead role? I wonder if we will get that series here? Having gone to grad school in Massachusetts ( in far away Amherst, though), I do have some interest in the history of Salem.
I used to see MM in a lot of reruns of Law and Order, usually presiding as a judge.

After waiting for about a year for the series to begin I have to tell you that I was horribly disappointed. I actually only made it through about half the show. Horror, sensationalism and gore for the sake of horror etc are not for me. They didn't even give the viewers a chance to get to like any of the characters. I don't think MM is going to be featured much more in the show since it looks like by the middle of it he was shown as being infirmed in some way...I hated the character anyway so it's just as well. There was only one character that I didn't abhor, but I wouldn't go so far as to say I liked him either. I won't be watching it again. I really wanted to like it! Sue

He's George Sibley who Mary marries because her love, John Alden, has gone off to war and she thinks he's dead. Of course John returns (after about 7 years away!) He's played by Shane West. www.imdb.com/title/tt2963254/?ref_=nv_sr_1Nancy
