Interview with Albert Poland ( TBFO General Manager)

Albert Poland was GENERAL MANAGER for THE BOY FROM OZ. He was also a Broadway legend by himself having been involved in so many theatrical productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and even Off-Off Broadway.

In this interview with William Hoffman, he talks about Hugh Jackman ( from around 18'15") --

I have to say that one of my biggest thrills was working with Hugh Jackman in The Boy from Oz. I thought Hugh was right up there with Judy Garland, a generous audience performer...a genius performer. I saw the show 35 times and I never saw him give one down performance. I told his mother that she had created one of the most exemplary human beings that I have ever encountered in my life - he just couldn't have been kinder and more thoughtful. And everytime I saw Hugh I just had to go back and tell him....because you feel a kind of gratitude that you must express! And you don't often feel it. That was a very, very high point for me!

It appeared on a Judy Garland facebook page because Albert Poland was once a 14-year old who started the first official Judy Garland fan club

But he is considered a legend on Broadway because of his many involvement in various productions over the years!

Michael Mulheren is listed as 6'2" in height on his IMDB Page. He is practically as tall as Hugh.

The grey hair and the wide forehead evoke some similarity

But if you listen to the interview on the opening post on this thread, the voices differ very much. Michael's voice sounds more gruff. The interview indicates what the work of a general manager for a theatrical production entails and also some of the productions Albert has been involved in as general manager of some productions.
