Great photo at the stagedoor!
Hugh looks very pleased and very animated!
Must have been due to the exhilarating feeling of performing as expected during a first preview!

I saw a stagedoor photo of them in Halloween costumes -- but someone told me that Hugh gave them a thumbs up when he spotted them after curtain call -- No different when Hugh spots a Wolverine-clad fan in his previous Broadway shows  Jo |

They really have some serious "protection" for him this time. I guess that's wise. Are his costars being completely ignored? Theater - the live audience - really brings out the best in him. He seems to thrive on it. (reminds me of Peter) He looks GREAT  (but his hair is still too short). <awww> |

It's good to hear about the heavy protection. As inconvenient as it might be for those who have followed him for a long time and genuinely respect both him and his family, I'm afraid he has reached that stage of celebrity where some crackpot even more dangerous than the razor throwing wacko might go after him.

They may be unobstrusive, but he does have close by protection even inside the theatre when he is performing. Even during the days of TBFO! I know that because when my friend and I were picked by Hugh to be his Bicoastal victims ( we were seated at the end of the aisle by the wall), he also sought the man standing by the wall next to us ( we were on second row), calling him by his name, to join us. LOL - the man, who was obviously not an usher or part of theatre management, was very reluctant and looked very stiff... but you know how Hugh/Peter could cajole anyone ( Hugh obviously knew the man and was telling some sort of private joke with him). So, he did his stuff by the wall ( for a few seconds only) while my friend and I had to do the bump and grind for more than a minute or two - he kept egging us to continue and continue. LOL - but when we finished, he slumped down on the edge of the stage and offered a " Kiss, kiss - Girls !" - boy not included ...My friend and I flew the 2-meter or so distance in half a second flat 
In Sydney, when we saw the opening night show for TBFO-Arena tour, a grown woman, elegantly dressed, ran up the short flight of stairs ( which Hugh used during the performance) while Hugh was performing onstage and wanted to hug him. Hugh nicely fended her off...until the security nearby came up on the stairs to lead her away. But then Hugh decided to go down the arena floor of the Sydney Entertainment Center ( one of those 10,000 seaters) at some point during the show -- and he ran around at the back of the first few rows where a cleared path had been paved for him obviously. When he came back up onstage - he laughingly said " I have never been so mugged in my life" to his fellow Aussie audience!
Yet, he continues to be so approachable and nice to fans

I saw no more security that usual around him. If anything I'd say it was less intense and well organized that in the past. I guess it's a matter of opinion. |

He is as charming and approachable as ever. I got a lovely hug because I was push down low on the barricade by everyone pushing stuff forward for him to sign. I had to warn him I was getting into his personal space! Sorry still haven't worked out how to post pictures here. Yes Irv is still with the family but he is not security.

With all the extra sidewalk at the Circle in the Square, I heard they're making a fair amount of space for fans to watch the red carpet arrivals and departures. It's always great to see Hugh all dressed up after the show and heading for the after party!!!
