Cush Jumbo to Do One-Woman Show at Joe's Pub Next Year

Cush Jumbo is scheduled to do a one-woman show about Josephine Baker at Joe's Pub in downtown New York City, Feb. 27-April 5.

I bet she'll do a slam-bang job as the famed songstress.

If you have some form of "On Demand", look for the episodes in Series 2 of the British series "VERA". It was a small continuing role, but she was very good. It takes a great actress to go toe to toe with an actress of the caliber of the lead Brenda Blethyn (Golden Globe & BAFTA winner Oscar & SAG nominee) and be noticed.

Cush Jumbo won a Lortel (Off-Broadway) Award tonight for Best Solo Show, beating out three others, including JUST JIM DALE. Both shows were great.
