I once saw Hugh Jackman singing LILY's EYES with another Australian singer when he was still a relative unknown. Sorry, I have no idea how to extract that portion of the DVD I received and upload to YouTube.

One of the most famous duets of this song was done by Anthony Warlow and Philip Quast - that would be a veritable listening feast!

I remember the audio of that duet Hugh did. He seemed to be the announcer/emcee of the evening, too. Never learned the name of the other singer in that duet, though. They did a lovely job on that song. Several years ago I attended a World AIDS Day concert version of THE SECRET GARDEN in which Steven Pasquale and Will Chase likewise did a beautiful version of "In Lily's Eyes." I doubt Hugb will be involved in the 2016 concert, so I hope Steven and Will can re-create their roles.

I have just rewatched the video of that number. Hugh was the MC for a music festival at Darling Harbour in Sydney. He sang the song with an Australian singer with the first name of Rowan?

BUT, what was so very pleasantly surprising was not just Hugh's vocal performance ( I think his high baritone suits the song LILY'S EYES) but the way he acted out the song! Just wonderful! His co-singer, in contrast, stood there and simply sang ( although he did have a good voice). I guess the actor in Hugh prompted him to perform the song not just vocally but with the emotional context needed for it to come alive!
