Hey guys, I really want the book and I'm not on Amazon much. As soon as someone sees it will you please post it. I know he must be extremely upset missing the event, but like he said and what I learned a long time ago, it doesn't matter who you are "eveyone has a boss" and someone to answer or be accountable to.

Sorry, I haven't posted here yet, but if someone of you registered there? Some comments are so uninformed and cynical.  We all know that if he had a chance to attend this event, he would do it.  Your 2nd sentence does not make sense. There's nothing uninformed or cynical about the posts you were referring to. Not exactly a great first post for you to criticize people like that. I'm still confused. Nancy Huh?? I have NO idea what you mean! I meant the comments at SMH below the article NOT here in this board. At least for me some of them sounded uninformed and cynical. Read the comments by someone called Marc C. for example. Yesterday there were only 9 (partly negative) comments, but today it's more positive and supportive. |

Careful Kelly. You are now doing to Nancy the very same thing you're convicting her of. One minute you're telling Nancy to "lighten up" and then say "how incredibly boring if we always agree on everything". Well Nancy was responding that she was confused by Luzie's comment that's all. I guess for a moment there it wasn't "incredibly boring" just like you want it. It was an honest misunderstanding. Luzie explained what she meant and Nancy apologized. Let's move on.
Luzie, you were so right with the comments to that article! Some of them were indeed nasty towards Hugh! Mark C is a jerk. I didn't even realize the comments were there until you mentioned them! Thanks.

I seem to remember Deb saying in an interview that they tried to spend the holidays in New York one year and Australia the next. Last year the family visited them in New York while Hugh was doing BOB.

Even if they go back to NYC as a family, they will probably be coming back to Australia for Christmas this year, partly for family reasons, but partly because LES MISERABLES opens there on Boxing Day, December 26.
But after he finishes The Wolverine, Hugh is due for some heavy lifting for Les Miserables, not just for the movie release but also for the awards campaign --
*Special screenings for awards bodies during Thanksgiving weekend ( not sure if NYC is included here, otherwise, they may have to do it there. One confirmed screening is sponsored by the LA Times on Dec 13 - which includes a Q&A with Hooper, Hugh et al. That is also the same day that the nods for the Golden Globes are announced. I think Universal is avoiding the sending out of screeners to avoid piracy as much as possible.
*The Les Miserables premiere in London is rumored for Dec 4, confirmed on Dec 10 in NYC and rumored for mid-December in Hollywood. There is a rumored cast appearance ( not necessarily a film screening) in Tokyo sometime in the latter part of November. Who knows - but Paris might also be a candidate for a movie premiere -- they deserve it !!
*Hugh is supposed to be honored on December 10 with a tribute by the Museum of Moving Image.
*There will be talk shows on both coasts, maybe even an occasional one in London...and maybe some other newschannel appearances ( CNN, BBC), the American national networks, soundbites for the Entertainment shows.
*Other events that may coincide with the movie release
*Other events that may tie up with the Meet-and-Greet voters Oscar/GG/Other awards bodies.
And just a thought - is it time for him to do the Hollywood WALK OF FAME ceremonies and claim his STAR? Or would that be reserved for The Wolverine? I mention this because that could be a reason why his family might join him in Hollywood.
Busy time for Hugh! Especially if his performance in LES MISERABLES is aggressively promoted for honors by Universal.
