Thanks, at first when I saw the price I thought it was out of print or a rare import or something...didn't read the description. I will be looking for it in the real world for it though. Sue

I hope arrangements were made to have a DVD for sale as a fund raiser. Might not happen, but Back on Broadway would have been wonderful and a mini version courtesy of the charity would be an amazing amount of money.

His finger poised in the air would indicate--at least to me--"One Night Only." Must have been a wonderful show for those lucky attendees!

You're absolutely right, Ellen! That must have been why I had a hesitant "Er..." in my guess ;D How can I forget - that is the song when he goes down the stage to pick someone to sing to Jo

www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/celebrity/hugh-jackman-im-devastated-20121031-28imk.html#ixzz2AqFKPjH0Hugh Jackman, with photographer Russell James, is helping launch his new book. "Nomad Two Worlds". Photo: Tamara Dean >>>It's a bit hard to chuck a sickie if you're Wolverine. So Hugh Jackman has discovered after realising his film shooting schedule means he will miss the party for his passion project, the launch of Russell James's book Nomad Two Worlds, tomorrow night at the Darling Hotel in Sydney. "I'm devastated," Jackman sighed. "Nomads is one project I really believe in and we've been talking about the book launch for 12 months. But you know, we've all got a boss. They knew what it meant to me but the train's rolling, unfortunately." The book features James's photos and collaborations with indigenous Australian, Native American and Haitian artists. A percentage of the proceeds of the book will go to art projects in indigenous communities. "Nomads is about reconciliation and bringing cultures together in a social business sense," Jackman told The Sun-Herald's Shelly Horton. "This is the apology in action." James has just flown in from Haiti where the book was launched by Bill Clinton and Richard Branson. "We try to celebrate the art of the indigenous artists and not have it be a celebrity-driven brand, but while everyone has been enormously respectful of that, we have had some amazing celebrities help out," he said. For Jackman it's a chance to use his celebrity for good. "I do try not to use my celebrity for evil," he joked, "I mean it's a daily struggle because the pull of evil is so strong but if I can ever use it for good, I do."<<<

That's too bad. I imagine it does make him feel kind of sick that he's not able to be there; this is important to him.
You'd think being Wolverine would give him a little bit of influence, but I guess it's not his call.

It could also be that he has to complete The Wolverine soon because he may be needed around Thanksgiving in LA or even NYC for the mulitple screenings for Les Miserables intended for the awards bodies. There will be a Q&A for the screening because the voters for awards may need further clarification...plus Hugh will be needed to charm them into giving Les Miserables all the honors it deserves, including one for Best Actor Jo

I would also think he would need to do some slight promotion for The Guardians, it opens November 21st. So he may be unable to take any time out if they're wanting to wrap soon. Will the book be available in the US, or does anyone know? I'm not sure if I'd be able to buy it but it's definitely something I'd love to check out in person. That picture of Hugh is so interesting, I'm curious as to what other pieces of art are in it.
(Also, does anyone think that the photographer Russell James looks slightly like actor Robert Carlyle, who's currently on 'Once Upon a Time'?)

Sorry, I haven't posted here yet, but if someone of you registered there? Some comments are so uninformed and cynical. We all know that if he had a chance to attend this event, he would do it.

Hugh is listed as the only Supervising Producer for The Wolverine, as per The Hollywood Reporter. www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/production-listingsSo, maybe he needs to be present at the filming, even if he is not involved directly as an actor in the scenes. It looks like they are now filming at a very fast pace ( the target is to complete filming iin a few weeks, per the live chat). And I remember reading Ryan Penagos's tweet, which said that lunch at the set was at 7:00 pm Jo

Your 2nd sentence does not make sense. There's nothing uninformed or cynical about the posts you were referring to. Not exactly a great first post for you to criticize people like that. I'm still confused. Nancy
