Er...not too sure that the reason advanced for Hugh's popularity is the more valid one ("Mom's favorite...and yours") . I am pretty sure his ranking has been more influenced by the box office results of DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and to the twitter reaction to his announcement for the farewell Wolverine movie, so it could be the fanboy vote that is more important?

Jennifer Lawrence: Actress Named Hollywood's 'Most Valuable Star'
Jennifer Lawrence, the world’s highest paid actress, ranks "numero uno" on the list of this year’s "100 Most Valuable Stars" for the second consecutive year.
Jennifer Lawrence has been ranked as Hollywood's "Most Valuable Star" this year, topping Vulture's list of "100 Most Valuable Stars," with Robert Downey Jr. in second place followed by Leonardo DiCaprio, who came third, according to Vulture.
The publication ranked the stars based on factors including box office collections, likability, Oscars won and Twitter mentions. J Law, whose "Hunger Games" franchise has raked in $720 billion globally so far, came out on top, winning the title for the second straight year. The actress was also crowned "the leading movie star of her generation."
Earlier this year, Forbes ranked the Oscar-winning actress as the highest-paid actress in the world, earning an estimated $52 million for last year's "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1," as HNGN previously reported.
Downey finished second and DiCaprio kept the same positions as last year. Angelina Jolie dropped down to 17th place from 6th and hubby Brad Pitt fell from number nine to 16 on the list, according to Reuters.
Chris Pratt's overall ranking went through the roof after two blockbusters including "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Jurassic World," jumping 57 places to the no. 11 position. The actor was also crowned the "most likable" star. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson also rose 24 places to take the number five spot on the list.
Hugh Jackman, Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson ranked 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th respectively. The honor for "most critically respected" stars on Vulture's list was given to Ben Affleck, Joaquin Phoenix and comedian Amy Schumer.
