There are just too many stories of why Hugh is one of the nicest guys on the planet!
Here's one --
And the reason for why he started the tradition is even more admirable. If I recall right, he said that he was appalled working on the set of big blockbusters where people did not seem to bother to know each other, down to the crew. So he thought of doing this so he could have a chance to meet each and every member of the production team!
