Per Box Office Mojo, EDDIE THE EAGLE will be released in only 2000 screens ( Gods of Egypt has a 3000 count, while Triple 9 has 2000).
With all the publicity and media buzz created for EDDIE I am surprised that FOX chickened out a little and only allocated 2000 screens. Maybe they did not want to withdraw some from DEADPOOL?
We'll see how the weekend fares?

Taron must like standing next to Oates after being the shorter of the Jackman-Egerton pair through all the publicity. I'll bet he feels super-tall here. Ellen

There was one full-length photo with Hugh in one of the media stops where Taron was standing practically on tiptoes for the camera Jo

Maybe the flight was one hour, because it looked like all that pre-flight training/dressing took a long time. Hmmmmmmm...whichever, I really admire Hugh for having the guts to do that (and not puking his guts out!) LOL!

That was a nice and relaxed chat -- it probably mirrored the atmosphere on the set of EDDIE THE EAGLE! *I think Dexter must have been such an easy-going but hardworking director to work with! Maybe that was why Jess Platt had said that he had never seen Hugh corpsed so much *Taron's singing style seems more like pop. My EDDIE CD has not arrived yet. But he did win the Stephen Sondheim award in his RADA days, so maybe he can do musical theatre, too. *Lol - Hugh had to show off a bit of singing, too *Leopold?? He must be referring to the very English upbringing in the house that he said he had -- being such a courtly gentleman! *Broadway musical for Hugh and Taron -- Hugh had asked Taron to send him a tape showing him singing when Taron auditioned for the role ( at the time of THE RIVER). I wonder if he had considered Taron for the key supporting role in SHOWMAN, although it seems the role might have gone to Zac Efron ( based on reports of seeing them together at Pearl Studio recently). Did you know that Dexter once played the role of Gavroche in the stage musical Les Miserables. Wouldn't it be nice, if the host learned about it and had asked them to sing something from Les Mis? Dexter as Gavroche, maybe Taron can sing Marius, and Hugh would of course be Valjean?? Guys and Dolls - nah! Taron would be too young for the role of Nate. Let me think.... Jo
