The film project is temporarily at a dead end. The director Tim Miller has left the project supposedly due to "creative differences" with Ryan Reynolds.

In all his career, we have never heard of Hugh becoming at odds with any director ( to the extent that one walks out of a project), whether on film or on stage. We even hear much praise of Hugh re his portrayals and his professionalism from his directors. And it's not as if Hugh does not have strong views about the creative vision for a project but I have a feeling that there is also much respect from him for the other member of the two-man team. LOGAN was delayed for a solid number of months ( it was first rumored for filming when he dropped out of COLLATERAL BEAUTY in the fall of 2015) because we heard partly that Hugh preferred the script to be nearly perfect before he came on board. But look at what Hugh Jackman and Jim Mangold has created, based on the trailer!
In some cases, I get the feeling that Hugh and his director become good friends, too , when you see them looking well at ease during off-set moments.
