This must the set of photos that was part of the WALMART exclusives for the release of the BluRay ( not sure about the DVD) of LOGAN --  Also, not shown, if you turn the photos around it will unveil another image of LOGAN. PS: My copy is on the way ( via eBay). Jo |

What likely contributed to the success of the LOGAN BluRay/DVD sales ? *First, the high praise for the movie ( 92% at Rotten Tomatoes and the very strong social media reactions) resonate with those who have seen it and for those who were unable to see it! *The movie carried a Restricted rating -- which excluded anyone below 16 without the company of a guardian from seeing it! This is the opportunity to be able to see the movie ( presumably with parental OK). *The short period between theatrical release and video release -- the movie, which was very impactful, was still very fresh in the minds of those who saw it in cinemas ( even multiple times)...and they are enthusiastic to relive the drama and the action one more time ( actually, as often they like!). On another note, Beauty and the Beast is following the same strategy -- they are releasing their video soon after LOGAN. *The special inclusion of LOGAN NOIR to the BluRay release was an excellent incentive! Fox even publicized this with the special screenigns of LOGAN NOIR! People were happy to note that they would not have to pay extra for the new version. *It is rare for the lead team to do a short media publicity effort to promote a video release. The appearance of Hugh Jackman, James Mangold, and Hutch Parker for the LOGAN NOIR Q&A was well-publicized. Hugh was also helpful to promote it via social media. Mangold has been conversing with fans on social media to disclose more details about the home video release and Logan Noir. There was also release of some publicity material not available before the film release. The Dafne Keen audition clip was a winner -- especially so after fans fell in love with her in LOGAN! *The appearance of Hugh and Dafne ( and their win) at the MTV Awards was very excellent post-release publicity for the movie! There was also much delight over their acceptance speech! *Quite a number of fans were overly excited over the numerous options -- *** Will it be the Target Exclusive or the Walmart Exclusive or the BestBuy ( Steelbook) exclusive...and of course there is Amazon and eBay for those not residing in the USA?? ***A fan was delighted to report that he got ALL three exclusives! Another one said BestBook sent him 2 copies of the Steelback edition - he emailed them that he was willing to pay for the extra copy. One said that he was going to get 2 copies -- one for himself and then he will also get the Walmart edition ( give the BluRay as a Father's Day gift while he keeps the photos for himself). ***Foreign fans were researching if the USA BluRay was region-free ( it looks like that may be true -- but don't quote me on that) so they can have access to LOGAN NOIR...while others have looked to eBay and Amazon third party sellers for copies, because the three exclusives were not available outside the USA ( if it is -- expect to pay high customs duties - as it can be based on landed cost). To tell the truth -- is very hard to be a foreign fan ( c'est tres deficil!)  *Social media excitement over LOGAN is still strong, especially for those who are seeing the movie for the first time ( Japan or via home video). *FOX's strategy is probably to limit TORRENTS downloads ( pirated copy) as LOGAN has been reported to have the dubious honor of ranking #2 among illegal downloads! I got home from vacation on Tuesday and LOGAN was waiting for me (delayed birthday present from my son) but have been so busy with other things, haven't had time to watch it! Hopefully soon! (I never saw it at the theater!) Have been avoiding all the Spoiler threads on here.

It looks like the purchasers of the BluRay from the USA may be the only ones to get the bonus LOGAN NOIR disc!
*I checked Amazon.co.uk and it looks like there is only one disc included in their package.

Can the LOGAN NOIR BluRay disc be played on a BluRay player from any region, if one is able to get a copy from a USA purchase?

Stats from THE NUMBERS -- presumably close to final numbers for LOGAN ( except for non-availability of Video sales from the international market).
Domestic BluRay and DVD sales amounted to close to $ 40 million. This does not include VOD sales, presumably.
Also, no figures are available for video (BluRay/DVD) sales from the international market.
