Songwriters Hall of Fame

As June 18th approaches, I wanted to talk about something that annoys me every year around this time. The Songwriters Hall of Fame inducts new members every June. And every year, Peter Allen is not on the list.

Some of Peter's songwriting collaborators are in the Hall. Naturally, Carole Bayer Sager and Burt Bacharach have exhibits.

I have tweeted to Carole, asking her if she knows the reason Peter is not in the Hall. I received no reply.

I don't know if there is anything we can do. It has been on mind.

I am truly shocked that he has not been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame; I had no idea.

Peter is in the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Hall of Fame. I don't know much about the qualifications/requirements for being inducted into the US version. May I assume it's not just for Americans?

Paul McCartney has an exhibit so I think it includes songwriters that aren't American.
