He is actually a talented actor who has excelled on the stage, in films, and on TV. His acting can be quite intense and he can be both comedic ( Kate and Leopold) and uber-violent ( XMEN Origins : Wolverine). But it is on Broadway that he has been most successful. Although his three 2017 EMMY nods and previous years are noted!
Too bad he could not be in LOGAN, no matter that it would be a featured role ( originally, he was supposed to be in the casino, running it, where Prof X had a seizure). Hopefully, he and Hugh can act together again, this time in an intense film drama!
PS: I didn't know his undergrad acting degree was at the same school I went to ( University of Massachusetts in Amherst) -- but of course I was there way, way ahead of him
...and he did his Masters at the Yale Drama School!
