Well that's because he's Wolverine in the shot and that's his famous Logan "anti-hero" look! You can almost hear him say that well known Wolverine quote, "I'm the best there is at what I do, and what I do best isn't very nice." |

Ellen Burstyn has always been one of my favorite actresses. It doesn't matter what movie she is in - good, bad or impossibly cheesy, at some point she will deliver an absolutely perfect bit of of acting. When I first saw the scenes with Hugh in the Fountain, I knew I had found another actor with that almost miracle level of talent. Give them anything, and they will deliver something worth watching.

My two favorite movies (before Les Mis) are Australia and The Fountain in that order.
I feel Hugh deserved, at the very least, Oscar nominations for both. He was robbed!

I think after seeing "The Fountain", I knew that Hugh Jackman was really capable of winning an Oscar. I'd seem him do some good performances before, but this one, wow, he blew me away when he did this film............ The scene where he sat on the side of the bed and cried after Izzy died was gut wrenching to me. He was absolutely amazing. If I had to pick one scene in all of Hugh's projects that showcased this man's incredible talent, it would definitely be this one... www.youtube.com/watch?v=N242jaihDwoI so agree with you on his performance in The Fountain. He definitely should have been nominated. I still cry every time I see that scene! and several others! :'( |
