Hugh is beyond just being a song-and-dance man! He can dazzle equally well in action ( XMEN movies) and drama ( Prisoners/Prestige/Les Miserables/Fountain). And he is also an extraordinary performer in musical theatre and dramatic theatre!

I had my own fun surprise here today --
I was watching a local talk show, mainly pitched towards mass entertainment. They had several guests who happened to be pop concert artists. They did ask the first group ( young women, maybe in their early 20's ) if they could share one of the numbers they intend to sing in their forthcoming concert. As soon as I heard the first notes -- I think I clapped! LOL! Yes, it was the first piano bars for THIS IS ME...
Of course the host talked about the song as coming from THE GREATEST SHOWMAN, with Hugh Jackman in it! And then about the song being featured in the Oscars...but no word on REMEMBER ME, even if it was composed by someone of Filipino descent ( Robert Lopez).
But the story did not end there -- it seems that the other guest, a male pop artist, also had a recent concert. It turned out that one song which he sang for that event was also THIS IS ME. LOL! So, he sang a song in our local language instead.
