Two of the least likely fans of THE GREATEST SHOWMAN are LinManuelMiranda and Simon Cowell!
But they are!!!

Too many tweets to reprint -- but it looks like THE GREATEST SHOWMAN has gained many, many new fans after the release on HBO on September 8. Someone even said that she watches it everyday since … Quite a few said that they are not even movie musicals fans but they could not resist the appeal of the SHOWMAN. But the funniest tweet was a short review saying " The Greatest Showman is the worst Wolverine movie ever!" Jo

This is so cute -- it has touched the hearts of most every kid! Look at how they have put their greatest show together They were totally inspired by the movie ...and they even put in their own touch ( their Barnum actually handed his own red coat to their Philip ) Can other movie musicals bring the same joy and delight... energy and enthusiasm... to the young ones? And as for the young-at-hearts --

We were somewhat apprehensive, given how long the project took place. No one ( not Hugh or Michael G or Pasek&Paul) ever expected the tremendous worldwide reception the movie and the musical score would eventually generate! One of the best success stories in Hugh's storied career

Sometimes we forget that for kids, it is not just the songs or the dance movements... but all the circus characters, too The Facebook Page illustrates the characters even better -- check it out from the link.

When you hear one of the songs from THE GREATEST SHOWMAN being played anywhere ( mall, supermarket, train, department stores, any other public places) -- do you also have the urge to join in Not just the singing … and the dance routines...but also all the wild arm movements Isn't it great that we are now on the 10th month since its premiere -- and the movie and musical score still resonate so much with people Jo

The month of October is also the month for thinking of Costumes for Halloween I have a feeling that THE GREATEST SHOWMAN cast of characters ( in all their resplendent costume glory) will give the superheroes/heroines, the Disney princess, the horror characters very stiff competition

Or a heartbreaking cry ( Tommy tattoing the ring image on his finger)...or a devastating cry ( when Keller saw his daughter's bloody socks and tears welled in his eyes)… or a triumphant cry ( Charlie and Max realizing that they loved each other)...or a relieved cry ( when The Drover saw that his Lady Sarah was alive!)... or a sympathetic cry as Valjean realizes what the Bishop has done for him … and when I saw tears coursing down Denny's cheek as he thought of what has happened to his life (Steady Rain) and I was gasping, almost crying in sympathy, at the sad image! There have been so many instances

Like Peter Allen crying in The Boy From Oz. How did Hugh do that every time?!

I read that the Barnum "Showman" costume for Hallooween is in great demand -- did they also count that kids ( both little boys and girls) want to look like Phineas Taylor ( the Jackman version )?

Singing and dancing -- could be Kelly or Cagney
Acting -- maybe more like Cagney ( as he has appeared in more types of movies and considered one of best actors of his generation...Hugh is developing a reputation for his versatility now)
Oscar award -- Cagney won for Yankee Doodle Dandy; Kelly was nominated for Anchors Aweigh; Jackman was nominated for Les Miserables.
Theatre credits -- all three have Broadway credits
Tony award -- Hugh won for The Boy from Oz; Kelly and Cagney's theatre credits pre-dated the start of the Tony Awards (1947)
Action movies -- neither Cagney or Kelly as lead actor in (super)hero role requiring physical abilities; Cagney did some gangster-type and war movies.
Hosting shows or being MC of live entertainment -- not familiar with either Kelly or Cagney doing them.
Looks -- maybe neither one, but Kelly could be closer in appeal.
