As overly familiar as I am with "Soliloquy," I've always felt that one of his strongest numbers. The power in his voice, his acting during that song made it a highlight. I hope it's reinstated for his return to the US. Ellen D'accord!! Jo

Looks like they corrected the data for both the European and American (1st leg) shows, It is now $50.6 million for 50 shows. The original forecast by Billboard is for his tour to end up with $ 75 million. It looks like that projection will be exceeded in the actual tally. Well done!
Due to the theatrical nature of Hugh's show, it needs a proscenium-like stage and cannot sell seats at the back or northern most side seats. Most pop concerts need only a stage in the center of the arena.

http://instagram.com/p/B0vG1gAgC6l Do keep swiping and watching-- some are live clips. Especially entertaining is the one where Hugh and his best dancer dance with the young girl who never had a dancing lesson ( Olivia)! This one -- And click on becbrown's Instagram Stories - she practically captured the whole show. www.instagram.com/stories/becbrowncommunications/It has a more complete version of NEW YORK, NEW YORK! Sigh! And a bit of ON BROADWAY! Interestingly, both songs were never original songs for Broadway shows. I wonder how he explained the new section -- has it anything to do with his forthcoming return to The Great White Way? Jo

(Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, The Rolling Stones, etc.) I have seen Tom Jones (in the ‘70s) and Rod Stewart (in the ‘90s) with a center stage, though.

Immediate official denial from Hugh Jackman's publicity office that ROBBIE WILLIAMS ( who joined the show once at the O2 in London) is going to co-star with Hugh in a sequel of THE GREATEST SHOWMAN. metro.co.uk/2019/08/04/hugh-jackman-create-special-role-robbie-williams-greatest-showman-sequel-10517576/Amazing how many media outlets picked up the rumored story immediately. However if you are a Jackman-watcher, it is quite obvious that it was nothing but a rumor without basis -- *There has been NO announced film project by Disney/Fox. Even a stage adaptation of the original musical does not seem to be in the near future. *Hugh himself said that he does not know the plans for any sequel or if that would be the choice. *Hugh's schedule is filled up maybe up to the third quarter of 2021 ( due to the reported yearlong run for him for The Music Man). *Hugh's immediate film commitment before The Music Man run is Reminiscence for Warner Bros. We all wish something is happening after the original Greatest Showman movie, but nothing seems to be happening at this time. Jo

Remember Luciana? You'll never guess what her favorite song from THE GREATEST SHOWMAN is It's almost unimaginable how THE GREATEST SHOWMAN won a newfound fandom! And the way the very young responded to the movie and the music (when it is not the usual animated/Disney stuff they go for) must have been one of the wonders of the entertainment business. Not even Barnum would have thought of it In a sense, this makes me wonder why Disney (new owner of FOX studios), the main filmmaker of movies for the very young, has not taken advantage of this phenomenon and has not made plans to do either a film sequel or a stage adaptation. Is a puzzlement! Jo

Lol - in one performance of The Boy from Oz where I was seated on the front row ( by the orchestra pit), I remember checking out if someone else was playing a piano with the orchestra in the pit, while Hugh ( as Peter) was tinkling the piano keys Er… there was someone else playing the piano *giggle* I guess he did really brush up on his piano playing for the show some 16 years later ( plus he did share that he did) Jo

I might have mentioned that MARTHA STEWART was seated a few rows behind me on the Saturday matinee at Madison Square Garden. I wonder if Hugh was aware of that because he normally acknowledges celebrities in his audience. I think they are or used to be neighbors in their adjacent apartment buildings. Hugh has appeared in at least 2 shows with Martha.
I have never seen this one ( circa 2006 - how young he looks!) --
This was published many years later, but it oboviously came from the same guest appearance in 2006 --
This one is funny ( 2011) --
