Evergreen Hugh Jackman’s hanging out with the cool kids and dining on smashed avocado during his Adelaide stay.
In town with his The Man. The Music. The Show. tour, the Aussie Hollywood superstar enjoyed a casual brunch in the city yesterday.

His choice of venue was Hindley St hipster hotspot Peter Rabbit.

Owned by Jack Nelligan and James McIntyre, it has a garden and a resident rabbit named after another Beatrix Potter character Mopsy.

Manager James Lambert said Jackman arrived in a party of five at 11am for a late brunch.

Staying for about 45 minutes, he chatted with staff and posed for a happy snap with them behind the bar.
Mr Lambert said Jackman ordered a menu favourite – smashed avocado with poached eggs and bacon – and a long black with hot milk on the side.

“He was really nice, lovely, and was talking about different types of coffee with our barista,” Mr Lambert said.
Jackman later visited a Penfolds winery.


Jackman’s final performance of his five shows at Adelaide Entertainment Centre is on Tuesday night.

The truce between Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds was never meant to last — and Jackman is throwing the first stone.
Jackman, 50, and Reynolds, 42, have been feuding for years over the Deadpool actor’s insistence that Jackman revives his Wolverine character so they can appear in a movie together. But after seemingly putting their differences aside earlier this year, the bickering was reignited when Jackman suffered a minor injury while playing the fan-favorite superhero during one of his stops on his one-man tour The Man. The Music. The Show.

“The first time I’ve played #wolverine … and, actually bled. Clearly, it’s @vancityreynolds [Ryan Reynolds’] fault,” Jackman wrote over an image of a scratch on his knuckle. The bit reportedly includes jokes about Reynolds and Jackman playing Wolverine.

But Reynolds wasn’t going to let Jackman get away with the jab, getting back at Jackman in the comments section of the post.

“I just don’t think you’ve been practicing enough,” Reynolds replied.

After sparring with each other for years, Reynolds and Jackman announced on their respective social media accounts earlier this year that their friendly feud with each other had officially come to an end.

As a way to mend their “broken relationship,” the actors revealed their plans to make ads for each other’s companies — Reynolds owns Aviation Gin, while Jackman is the creator of Laughing Man Coffee — and of course, each expected to out-do the other.

“Official truce with @realhughjackman!” Reynolds wrote alongside a black and white shot of the pair smiling as they shook hands. “As a gesture of goodwill, I’m gonna make a beautiful ad for his company, Laughing Man Coffee. Can’t wait!”

Jackman shared the same photo but he captioned his post with, “Official truce! I’m going to make the most amazing ad for Aviation Gin. And, look forward to seeing what @vancityreynolds comes up with in return.”

A pity they were not ready to do the segment where it belonged - New York!

Judging from the seemingly tepid reaction I think it was a little wasted with that crowd, as they probably could not relate to it as much as they did with all the other musical segments! The music and the dance routines seemed very different in tone and sophistication.

Ironic because Aussies like Hugh & Peter Allen and Maoris like Keala and Brits like Warren Carlyle found their career homes in great part in New York!

Maybe, as part of Hugh's personal narrative, it was his way of saying that New York is an important place and a second home in his life now? That next year, if you want to see him perform again, you will have to come to New York … Or where his advocacies (Laughing Man Foundation/Global Citizen/other NYC-based causes) have taken root

I wonder if they repeated it in Adelaide and will also do so in the rest of the Australian/NZ leg?
