As I read through the ADMIN console FAQs (again) I see that "Ad-Free" works for 30 days, or 50,000 "clicks" - whichever comes first. It's hard for me to grasps that we got more than 50k clicks in less than a month, but that's why the ads suddenly reappeared before the end of August. I didn't see the point in spending more "credits" since they would have expired at the end of the month, regardless of the number of "clicks" on The Board.

I have found an option that allows me to make the Board "Ad-Free" for Members, but not for Guests. That means just one "dose" of credits is more than sufficient to remove the ads for "us" for an entire month. Sorry I didn't notice this sooner, but I was blown away trying to grasp the fact that we get more than 50,000 "clicks" in less than three weeks. We DO get a lot of "Guests" dropping by (which is a good thing), but I don't see any reason to "pay" for strangers to have an Ad-Free visit. Hope you agree. I think making the board ad-free for members only is a great option. You're right, the idea of 50,000 clicks is mind-boggling!

We are "ad FREE" again (for members), thanks mostly to Jo and chessie.  We have a couple of credits left, but at the moment, not enough for another month, just FYI. Thanks again to all who contributed. Enjoy the AD FREE board. |
