The flowers of May --
There is a beautiful tradition in France ... where on the first day of May --
every man, young or old, would give the women, young or old with a posy of lily-of-the-valley!
It was on such a day when we were walking near the Madeleine Church on Rue Royale in the most center part of Paris -- and an elderly man came up to me and my sisters to give us a bunch of lily-of-the-valley!
