Another sign that Broadway is reawakening is the holding of the popular Boadway flea market.

Maybe they are being cautious - waiting to see if Music Man actually opens in December? This whole "reopening" thing still seems a bit "iffy" IMHO. I usually go to NYC (for my annual Broadway binge) in autumn. I missed last year . . . and will most likely pass on any trip anywhere this year too. Can't believe I have not seen a Broadway show since 2019! Thankfully, it was a wonderful year with a "bumper crop" of fabulous show and I saw quite a few of them. It has sustained me in this drought - but I am eager - VERY eager - to get back to NYC for more - LOTS more! (But not until I feel "safe" about it.) BC/EFA almost always has some Hugh items available. Follow these links and look around for more on their website. The RiverA Steady RainFor more possibilities -

What was the show that just cancelled 30 minutes prior to the curtain going up due to positive Covid tests of a couple performers? Was it just prior to their 2nd performance? Did they ever continue?

The RiverA Steady RainFor more possibilities - I have the same feelings as Valerie re TMM's December date being " Iffy". I wish it wasn't so, but it's a risky proposition for me to fly so far, only to have the dates changed. I think I'll wait till things become clearer , airfares go back to more affordable prices and the weather is warmer, maybe April. I should stop stressing myself and not check seat availability, hotels and airline websites so often LOL !

I believe you’re referring to ALADDIN. After reopening, some crew members, I believe, tested positive so they are shutting down for 10 days. Elllen

Rehearsals start for TMM on October 28.
I guess we will know more of the situation with the TMM creatives, cast, and crew at around that time - whether any COVID-19-related problems have struck them?

I am only a measly 2k miles from NYC, but I'm not planning a trip (anywhere, not even car trip/overnight) until things settle down and air travel is more safe/predictable than it is right now. Maybe in a year - autumn 2022? (Can't believe I'm saying that, but I'm serious about it.) I hope The Music Man does well - and waits for me to get there.

Let's hope Hugh extends beyond the present final-date-for-present booking (July 31, 2022).
He was originally committed to a yearlongrun when the show was first announced in March 2019. But given the 2 pandemic delays resulting in the show opening for previews a year and 3 months later than the original preview opening ( Sept 2020), there is reason for doubt if he will go beyond July 31, 2022. Unless he has no film commitment beyond that date? We don't know what the status of ENZO FERRARI with Michael Mann is ( which seems to be the one project that seems feasible now -- of course has has alwasy sprung film project surprises for us -- Bad Education and The Son came from out of the blue).
Hope things will improve so people can travel with ease in their minds.
