It is rare that a show that has not opened even for previews will make a formal announcement, including individual photos, of the full cast! This gives those in the ensembles a chance to show off their new credentials Good for them! |

Some of the Broadway chatterati and twitter populace (and even LA Times) say that this revival of " a tired old musical" is not called for  Maybe they should look at this new tribute to the iconic musical in this light -- "With a cast from 3 generations of talent, led by HughJackman&SuttonFoster, we now look forward to see the new magic they will create for this iconic musical!" For those of us ( including Me) who did not have chance to see the recent revival, directed by Jerry Zaks and with the same key creative team for TMM, here is the entrance scene from HELLO,DOLLY!   Four hours rehearsing tap dance!! This will be the new and likely most spectacular number in The Music Man! What sequence -- I am guessing SHIPOOPI ? Or a completely new production number that is not part of Shipoopi? Three weeks of rehearsals completed - time is flying... afte such a long wait for the MUSIC MAN team! JO |

If they ever extend the show beyond Hugh, the choice of lead replacement will be affected in a big way by his ability to dance well! J0 |
