Massive publicity boost without having to pay fo it!
That's the value of having a famous lead in a musical!

How many times have you watched the clip Now almost 3.3 million views in less than 2 days on Instagram! Guilty of repeated viewing myself But I just realized that what has also changed is the beat & tempo of the music, making it so much more lively! Could this be the combined efforts of music director Patrick Vaccariello & Orchestrator Jonathan Tunick? Tunick has attained EGOT status for his work! Jo

The Show has not opened but BBW speculating on possible Hugh Jackman replacement! Discussions have moved to Page 3! It’s a different time now. Hugh could test positive at any time during the run. Every member of cast and crew will likely be tested at regular intervals and if they come up positive they would be isolated, right? Doesn’t mean they are symptomatic. The vaccine will often mitigate the impact but Hugh can’t just push through it because he’s tough and has a great work ethic. Exposures will have to be controlled. So stand clear of the box office window if they have to announce “ At today’s performance the role of Professor Harold Hill will be played by…”

Always a possibility, in these times. And Hugh is now in his fifties!
The main discussion is WHEN he leaves the show -- who will be a good enough to play the lead? Above comment was a side issue. Many suggestions given - the usual ( Lewis, Stokes, Odom, Macfarlane even LinManuel).
I would say that the suggestions may not have taken into account the new emphasis on dance!
No one also knows how Zaks & other creatives may change the original show version and/or the film adaptation - in terms of enhancing the book ( storyline & characterizations) or the production numbers or even the musical score!

Let's hope the new Covid-19 mutation does not close Broadway once again! For those of us travelling ( domestic, and worse from overseas) to see the show -- so much to unwind... and to be flaggerbasted about...and to feel downheared about ) I've already provided a gap of 8 days between TMM performances, hoping that it will take care of temporary absences. Hope it is no worse than that (*fingers crossed*).

I cannot reproduce the full scale ( which can be done on the computer) -- but if you do that ( expand the screen)--
so the orchestra pit is hidden -- wow!
Such attention to detail -- scenes from outside the train window!
They have the benefit of getting the theatre much earlier than usual.

It looks like they are retaining the original color scheme & creative design for most promo materials at WinterGarden and using the red/blue/white design for the marquee & social media.

Compare w/ original color scheme -- It looks like they are retaining the ORANGE color in the design. Jo

Keep swiping!!More new rehearsal photos not seen before ! *Hugh dancing with "Zaneeta" *Hugh fooling around and imitating someone playing with a Ukulele -- or is that part of the show? *Hugh with his Harold Hill ubiquitous luggage ( it should get billing ) *Mrs Shinn ( Jayne Houdyshell) as Statue of Liberty (did they change her impersonation of a Grecian muse?) *Mayor Shinn ( Jefferson Mays)looking serious & dignified *Other rehearsal photos

The MusicMan internet police must have caught on to the set photos being shared on the internet -- and had them deleted. So far, I have been able to keep these - I reproduced them elsewhere. Memorize them - in case we are asked to do the same

Burly Jud is no more. OMG - I didn't recognize Shuler at all! You have a very keen eye! I guess he lost weight in anticipation of SHIPOOPI... and maybe it was pa rt of the intensive rehearsals?? It looks like Hugh might have also lost some weight? Thanks! Jo
