Over the years, there have been many Les Miserables memorabilia ( just think what 27 years of a show running without interruption can produce in terms of memorabilia). I have had my share - some were even used many years later for some other purpose ( such as asking Hugh to sign a large artcard and a button, at the Broadhurst stageoor, which he graciously did!). I did not think I would add to my enormous list of memorabilia, until the movie has been released, including its share of souvenirs. But look what someone pointed as a link to me -- A Warhol-type reproduction of the iconic image of Cosette by Emile Bayard -- And reproduced, Warhol style, on a poster -- And the poster is available here -- www.posters57.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=906What are some of the collectibles from the show do you have? People are already speculating if there will be a movie soundtrack release and when it might be released.
I would not consider it as part of the Les Miserables memorabilia ( I am referring here to souvenirs and collectibles) -- but it is something to look forward to.
Maybe it won't contain the entire musical soundtrack but just the songs and maybe some key recitatives ( sung dialogs)?

Amazon ( USA and UK) has announced a pre-order service for a tie-in book for LES MISERABLES -- from its life as a stage musical to the filmization of the stage musical. It is a slim volume at 96 pages, compared to the Edward Behr book which was double in length. It will not be published ( and shipped) till mid-April 2013. One of the authors ( Benedict Nightingale) was one of a few British drama critics who gave the musical a favorable review when it opened at the Barbican in 1985. Jo

Maybe I should have posted this here instead -- It is labelled as being from the Al Hirschfeld Foundation, so this must be from the Broadway production? . Jo

A copy of the soundtrack signed by Hugh, Tom Hooper and Eddie Redmayne is being auctioned by the Screen Actors Guild ( SAG) for their special advocacies -- Check link for auction procedures. Jo

If you're from outside the USA ( or where it won't matter where the book is shipped from), the companion book ( From Stage to Screen) of Les Miserables by Benedict Nightingale and Martyn Palmer announced for release in the USA on April 15 is being released in the UK on February 28. Price of the book is almost the same.
You may want to check with Amazon.co.uk, in case shipping costs to you are the same, whether it originates from the UK or the USA.
I have replaced my USA order with a UK order -- both through Amazon. This means a much earlier delivery of the book for me.
