Or is the inclusion of other XMen characters simply a way to bring into the MCU fold these comicbook characters for any future film stories?

*Running up the mountain at breakneck speed with claws to the ready in the finale fighting scene in LOGAN. (PS: In real life, Hugh was supposed to have fainted because the mountain air was getting thinner and made it harder to breath - and yet he did train every dawn when he got to New Mexico where they filmed the second part of the movie) *Running also breakneck speed ( with tall hat fully in place) as PTBarnum to catch the speeding train... while singing From Now On...to get to Charity. *Running away from the police detectives, including falling down the hill, in SWORDFISH! *Running away from River City after getting his "commmission from the sale of musical instruments, etc"...but stopping cold on his tracks, after realizing that Marian the Librarian has got him fully entrapped Jo

*No decision yet on the film title? *No indication on billing? But this looks like a great poster for the movie -- It's the reason why the interest is sky-high, not because of the myriad other characters that are being included to fill the movie. Personally, I do not like cluttered-with-people movies. LOGAN & The Wolverine proved that! Jo

Is Hugh Jackman setting the pace once again?
It could be a controversial decision on Hugh's part ( especially with the death of Wolverine in LOGAN) but Hugh has always taken a path that goes against the grain!
*When his career was on the upswing (with XMen-1 & X-2), he goes to Broadway in a musical for a whole year (The Boy From Oz) *LOGAN saw the death of Wolverine -- but here he comes back presumably as a Wolverine variant in a reunion with Deadpool.
*Known as an action star - he takes on unusual roles such as Aronofsky's The Fountain, Nolan's The Prestige & Villenueve's Prisoners
*Signing up for the film adaptation of LES MISERABLES, a sung-through dramatic musical *Shepherding the first original film musical in over 20 years in THE GREATEST SHOWMAN
*Takes on faux-hero role in BAD EDUCATION *Takes on serious dramatic roles in THE FRONTRUNNER & THE SON
*Goes back to Broadway for a whole year in THE MUSIC MAN *From romantic comedy (Kate & Leopold) to dark comedy ( Bad Education). Hero to non-hero.
He's even hosted the Oscars & the Tonys.
Never hesitant to take on unusual projects. Maybe compared to the hesitance of Chris Evans, it could be because Hugh Jackman has evolved a career that tests most film genres. It is also a career that straddles between Hollywood & Broadway! He is now recognized for his talent and versatility.
