It seems the synopsis for Deadpool 3 may have leaked early. The film’s description teases a mercenary in crisis and a fight to preserve the legacy of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

Deadpool 3 is set to be one of the biggest comic book events ever, bringing back Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine along with some other familiar faces to celebrate the legacy of Fox’s X-Men franchise. However, if the rumored synopsis from Hollywood insider CanWeGetSomeToast is to be believed, Deadpool 3 has a very humble beginning.

“After facing some professional setbacks while going through a midlife crisis. Wade Wilson decides to officially retire Deadpool and becomes a used car salesman. But when his friends, family, and the whole world are at stake, Deadpool decides to bring his katanas out of retirement. He recruits an unwilling and wary Wolverine to not only fight for their survival, but ultimately, their legacy.”

The image of Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson selling certified pre-owned Toyotas is certainly an amusing one to imagine. However, it’s interesting to note that he and Wolverine will specifically be fighting for their legacy, seemingly suggesting the story may have more to say about the state of superhero films than fans may have first thought. Though exactly what this synopsis means likely won’t come to light until the film hits theaters in Summer 2024.

‘DEADPOOL 3’ is described as a “multiversal road-trip movie across several Marvel Universes, which will ultimately cross over into the main 616 universe/MCU.”

I will have to wait how this all turns out.

I am not a real superhero/comicbook movies fan as I have only seen a very few other than the XMen/Wolverine movies. But it seems to me that there are contrasting approaches to the movies.

Mangold focused on the characterizations of the main focus character ( The Wolverine & Logan)

while the MCU/Feige approach is to connect the dots among the various superhero stories.

The first is a storyteller's perspective on a specific character while the second is a producer's viewpoint on managing the whole universe of stories.

Hugh Jackman returning to the role of Wolverine in the forthcoming Deadpool 3 film, which can mean only one thing—he’s hitting the gym very, very hard.

As he prepares to play the clawed crusader, the Aussie actor has been sharing workout clips with his modest 31.5 million followers on Instagram.

These include touch-and-go reps of trap bar deadlifts (at somewhere between 285lb and 330lb by my estimation) and a bit of bench press accompanied by the caption: “Hurts so good.” Because not even Wolverine is above a bro sesh.


And while Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine workouts will always involve heavy lifting, that’s not all he does. Jackman’s latest post shows him in the gym hitting what looks to be a short, max-effort interval on a Concept2 RowErg.
