Michael Mulheran appeared on an episode of the show “Instinct” on Aug. 11th. The show was just cancelled after 2 seasons. ☹️

I randomly came across a video assembled by MOULIN ROUGE! actor and virus survivor Tam Mutu set to the song “It’s Gonna Be OK” featuring lots of Broadway talent showing that everything is fine. One of the mini-segments featured Isabel Keating and her longtime guy, musician Mark Berman. Original members here may recall how Isabel and Mark came together during the run of TBFO. So nice to see they are still happily together. The video: www.youtube.com/channel/UCfNywYg_jJeWDkYBahf7mqAEllen

I did get to see Kevin perform in one show. He was also an understudy for the role of the husband of Judy Garland and Kevin took over from the main actor ( John Hill) in 1 show performance that I saw.

Many of us saw multiple performances of the show?
Which roles did you see which was performed by an understudy?
Apart from the above, I also remember seeing an understudy perform the role of Liza. Hugh was very profuse with his praise and thanks at curtain call for her doing a great job.

I saw Spirtas in a supporting role at one performance; I think it was as Judy’s husband. Later I admired him in a NYMF (NY Musical Theatre Festival) show. More recently I happened to see him in the lobby of Circle in the Square theater—I think before a performance of THE RIVER. We chatted for a bit about the days of TBFO. He was very gracious and expressed his great admiration of HJ.
I also saw an understudy for Stephanie’s Liza role at a different performance of TBFO. When HJ arrived at the theater that evening, he apologized to the handful of us at the stage door, saying he couldn’t spend time out there pre-show as this was the young woman’s first time on as Liza so he was going to give her extra rehearsal time with him. He wanted her to feel as relaxed and confident as possible. I remember thinking that was very gracious of him.
