If you're familiar w/ his films, HughJackman has not hesitated to try something different. Not surprising because his acting skills have great depth. Tried comedy? Dark comedy like Real Steel,Eddie The Eagle& Bad Education - good storytelling w/ a dash of laughter & a dash of seriousness.

Most serious film fans do not think good actors should try different genres, including comedy. Why not, if the story is good and they have the skills for comedy?

I think we are no longer surprised - Hugh sometimes makes choices which we may not agree with at first - but eventually we appreciate his judgment. To me, the best example is Bad Education -- he doesn't even look like Tassone and to portray a double-dealing persona did not seem a right role fo him. But that turned out to be one of his best choices for a film role.

I fully support #RyanReynolds, #HughJackman, #HenryCavill and anyone else fighting to preserve original content for superhero movies. If women and other races want more active roles in superhero movies, here's an idea. Stop being lazy and writing over original characters!

Honestly, in my opinion, no one can replace Hugh Jackman as Logan, and the MCU knows it. So if they're going this route, why not just make Laura the MCU's Wolverine, like in the comics, following in her father's footsteps. I don't think anyone would complain about that.

Hugh Jackman's impact as Wolverine is tremendous - at this point, his return is the main selling point of the upcoming movie. HJ has embued the character with a strong image of a warrior w/ both a fighting side & a sense of humanity. Arguably the genre's most beloved hero!

I completely agree! Which is why I think that by retiring his character and passing the torch to Laura, his legacy remains completely intact while also paving the way for the future. Like I said, NO ONE can replace HJ, so don't try. Let his legacy live on through his successor.

And Dafne Keen proved to be a good actress, too. It won't feel like Disney is pursuing its messaging goal...but a very acceptable way to explore the character that has direct roots with Wolverine. Logan was exceptional partly due to the relationship between father & daughter!

Wolverine in the comic books also sired a son, Daken, but he is somewhat troublesome. Will exploring his character also make the saga of the original clawed mutant help continue his legacy?

Why the obsession w/ every little aspect of the costume? While the costume is a colorful enhancement of the character,Wolverine became a popular film hero w/only a white vest&&bluejeans&iconic belt. How he shows his fighting spirit is what we should be concerned w/ in our heroes!

I bought my Advance Tickets for the first screening of the movie on Opening Day - so after lunch!

They are not selling tickets for other dates yet -- but I have promised my niece-companion for Hugh Jackman shows ( L0GAN, when she told the theatre staff she was 17 -- when in fact, she was still 2 months short - haha- said she simply rounded it off)... and for front row at Winter Garden for The Music Man in June 2022!

So, will likely get another set of advance tickets (when available) for that date ( she cannot make Opening Day) for July 29!

The fanboys are complaining -- they want the movie to last forever & ever

That length is probably ideal for a typical moviegoer to keep his attention the whole time.

Hugh Jackman is fully trained in dramatic theatre for one of his degrees ( including comedy and improvisations). Did you ever see him on Bway in TheBoyFromOz. Ryan must have learned how to break the 4th wall from Hugh Jackman who played a fabulous Peter Allen, the entertainer 1/2

I was there! He called a lady from middle of the theater to join him for his famous audience interaction number.She stood up&turned out to be very heavily pregnant. "Oh no - pls sit down!"  "I'm fine" & proceeded to go near the stage.HJ began singing a lullaby to the unborn child💕

Another time! Booming masculine voice called him out. HJ began searching the audience for him. Couldn't find him --turned Wolverine (brows knitted & fierce expression, shoulders hunched). Found him!  Turned out to be a hunk!  HJ became the gay entertainer Peter Allen & beamed at him lovingly😂

I am driving 5 hours from my house to Los Angeles to see this at the Chinese Theater. Booked a whole weekend stay. From the moment we got the video of Ryan Reynolds announcing Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine the plans were already put in motion. Two awesome men ❤️🖤+💛💙

It seems many are making special plans for Deadpool & Wolverine... as if seeing this movie is a great way to celebrate movies and that the continuing involvement of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is really laudable.

There are increasing comparisons to the kind of interest generated by the 2 movies of last year - Barbenheimer! Not meant to offend anyone here -- but if something like Barbie can generate such interest, why not Deadpool & Wolverine when these characters have occupied the imaginations of so many for so long?
