He posted on Instagram Stories what seemed to be an event that may happen for the Entertainment Community Fund, of which Hugh is a Chairman for the fundraising activities.
Could this be part of his good news?? Maybe a benefit event?

Must have been a weekend for reviewing their collaborative effort in their very successful "Deadpool&Wolverine"... and toasting two coming birthdays!

Hugh does not look like he is turning 56 soon! Ryan looks older than he I saw a close-up of the photo done by a fan and I thought it was done over to remove the signs of aging -- but no -- it was still the clearcut image in this photo. Will look for the close-up. Jo

Here it is -- how can his face look so young and unblemished. Even if de-aging techniques were used, the features will remain the same, the face shape will remain the same and the way he smiles does not change! As if touched by an angel

As if touched by an angel Come on- this picture has a massive filter. What’s the point of critiquing how young Hugh looks in a sand blasted photo? Hugh will always be handsome even as he ages but the man has lines, wrinkles, sags, loss of facial fat, hollows, skin texture changes plus many a remnant of skin excisions to his nose. All proportionate to his age. By all means enjoy the enhanced photo of Hugh but there’s no need to wonder if de-aging techniques are in play.

Not exactly what I said -- "Even if de-aging techniques were used, the features will remain the same, the face shape will remain the same and the way he smiles does not change!"-- of course age would reflect on his face now, but the face shape (including that jawline admired by so many surgeons), the features will be natural and the smile is as good as when he was young. It's not too far off from the original photo -- Jo

(and sorry Jo, but there’s a BIG difference between the actual photo) Nancy

That is not what I meant. I said that even if it used de-aging -- the essential Hugh Jackman is retained - the face shape (with that jawline), the strong features & the smile. Maybe I should use another language to post Jo

We got it, but you said “even if” as if there was any question about the fact that the photo had been altered.

I said that even if de-aged, the essential features -- the face shape with the jawline voted by surgeons as most wished for, the strong features ( expression-filled eyes, strong nose, etc) and the trademark smile remain the same. Unfortunate that the de-aging took away the slight cleft on the chin. Lol - haha - I did not know that I need to explain my intended meaning here. Well - sorry... lo siento mucho... desolee... if I have been misunderstood. We are like the tower of Babel! Jo

Talking of lingual versatility -- aren't we amazed at how modern athletes ( tennis/ F1 racing) are now multilingual?
The tennis matches and racing venues happen in all continents, except Africa, so there is a need to have some basic ability to communicate via language.
They are required to face press conferences & offical interviews so they did not have much choice but to learn English. Also, many drivers/players come from different countries/languages so there is the need to learn 2 or 3 more languages... It is not just the choice of words and expressions but even pronunciations have to be mastered. Baby Hugh (Jackman) - or Ferrari's Charles Leclerc - was born a Monegasque and spoke French from birth. But since he had to learn English-- he had caused some laughing moments with his co-racing drivers because he once pronounced " incident" as " inchident" (maybe because in Italian, which he also speaks, a word like Versace is pronounced "Versache"? Rafa Nadal spoke Spanish & Catalan, some Italian & French but it took him much longer to be comfortable in English. Federer(Swiss) & Djokovic(Serbian) speak many languages very comfortably.
Performers usually specialize only in English in venues like The USA or UK and even when performing across a place like Europe, as Hugh did during his concert tour -- but the world now is so different when interaction was limited before technology allowed freer interaction.
I wonder when performers will start learning other languages, especially when they have to perform to non-English speaking audiences ( I remember that there were "surtitles" ( like for opera) when Hugh Jackman performed in Turkey.
Even social media (X & Facebook &Instagram) now allow regular translations -- that helps in communicating with each other and learning how others speak but are not English speakers.
It is amazing how entertainment ( whether movies or TV shows) is now available in many cases because of sub-titles or dubbing in native language) are mostly available.
But it is a pity to hear Hugh's voice dubbed elsewhere -- because one of his performing strengths is his voice and how he uses it to intensify his acting.
