That stretch ( where Hugh is shown with his extended arms) is called the CHANNEL Gardens. Guess why? It is because the two buildings flanking it are the British and the French Buildings. Another view hidden from the public -- if you go to Saks and are able to peek at its front windows facing 5th Ave - (best views of the whole area are from the Chanel perfume/cosmetics boutique... & if you can go to the top floor restaurant L'Avenue-- you can see the gardens on top of the buildings). This whole area of the Rockefeller Center has not changed for decades and decades. It was like this since I used to work in NYC many moons ago. The two restaurants flanking the rink are gone now - one on the north side (the casual restaurant & the more expensive one - I understand they have been replaced now. In one of the photos taken by whoever was accompanying him, Hugh was standing by the elevator that takes you down to the lower level. If you can eat at the restaurants -- you can see the skaters gliding ( or falling down) on the rink. In the summer, the rink is usually turned into another outdoor restaurant under the gaze of the golden Prometheus. Btw, the tree topper is a super-huge crystal star by Swarovski! Amazing how they can find very huge live trees to cut for the honor of being the world's most famous Christmas tree. My favorite time to visit NYC is from Thanksgiving to early December...somehow it reminds me of the lyrics "Silver bells...it's Christmastime in the city!" Hope everyone had a beautiful and happy Christmas day! Jo

He entered from 5th Ave -- where people were looking at the very huge and beautiful clock mounted on the SAKS FIFTH AVENUE facade. It was shown on the THREADS social media page by Hugh. The window displays at Saks are part of the whole stretch to the Rockefeller rink Christmas show. It can become very crowded as people peeked at each window display, so if you want to go to the store - you may want to enter through the side doors ( one by St Patrick's - center of attraction during the Easter Parade, the entire outside structure which has been cleaned up after decades) or the other side street. Off info : If you are on 50th street (between St Patrick's & Saks) and starts walking the very, very long stretch westward till you reach Broadway St -- you will find yourself close to the Winter Garden Theatre ( erstwhile home of The Music Man) and if you walk further still to towards the Hudson River, you will pass by Circle in the Square, home of The River). You will also touch base with Radio City Music Hall where Hugh hosted the Tonys 4 times. Manhattan is easy to navigate after all Jo

The news about Hugh Jackman's encounter with the world's most celebrated Christmas tree and its guardians... have made not only social media but mass media as well It was on the New York Post...but this one is a special headline: recognizing that Hugh did not use his status as a well-known worldwide celebrity to excuse his behavior...but simply apologized and followed the rules. But when you read the actual report, it adds more spice to the story. It was saying that "Hugh was happily interacting with fans when he accidentally slipped through the barrier". Huh? Lol - now we know how a story can get more interesting Jo

Mayor Eric Adams of New York City -- Maybe you should ask Mr. Hugh Jackman, a longtime New Yorker & King of Broadway, whom you have met at Opening Night of The Music Man to lead the lighting of the tree in 2024? He has done a lot to publicize one of New York City's main tourist attractions! And Mr. Jackman is a tourist attraction by himself ( check out the box office receipts of The Music Man) Jo

Hope it is not just an amicable reunion for the sake of Christmas...and Deb has opened her heart again.
Even if it is just a tentative chance for Hugh -- I am sure he can re-woo Deb once more, as he has shown during the more than 3 months test separation - that he had no one else but she in his mind!

Jo No fan knows what’s in Hugh’s head or the big picture of what is going on in his personal life. Of course he’s going to spend Christmas with his kids - and the kids are a priority he has shared.

I never said that I know what is in Hugh's mind. I would not be that presumptuous.
This is a forum about an entertainment figure who is well-admired for his body of work and for his personal ideals. It is natural that we care what happens to his career and his personal life as well. It is also natural that we would want to guess what lies ahead when that entertainment figure has been in difficult times at times. If we are not interested in that - read his biography or seek other fora which only report strictly news. Give your opinion if that is what you want but do we need to be negative with what others think? Or speculate on how you would want things to happen. This is just a fan forum! I post what sincerely are in my thoughts! If I want to share the joy that I feel at this news ( or what this news is hinting at), I will do so. Nobody needs to read what I convey... Or even my guesses. If anyone wants to guess otherwise, then that is his prerogative.
If things turn out not the way we hoped for -- then so be it!

There has been so much that has been speculated about the man and his marital issues. Some are truly ridiculous. But that is the way of the world these days. Sometimes I giggle at what I read. Sometimes I am truly shocked at related stuff that I come across. That is mass and social media these days ...and how do you call gossip rags?? But one has to navigate through all that and maybe see if one can come close to the truth. One thing that it noticeable lately with Hugh -- he seems to be happier these days. Hope that is a signal of happier times. Hopefully what he shared today is one of those Jo

By all means you do you and post on the board your speculation. We all have theories and hope for the best for all involved. I do realize that Hugh is gracious enough to sense the spirit of a public post- should he happen to read it -even if the message doesn’t align to his reality.

Of course we are speculating - from the public photos and many speculations and even gossip since the potential separation might have started... to the date of the announcement... and beyond... to this day. Of course it is all guesswork.
But I honestly hope that this will resolve into a reconciliation between Hugh and Deb. If you are batting for something else - your choice. Are you?
The time has been mired by so much gossip and speculations, it is very sad for his family to undergo this difficult time in their lives.
Hugh has posted so many hints lately that things seemed to be looking up, despite all the gossip and other speculations.
Hopefully I have read them right... but despite the negativity I did see some signs that things could be turning up... and they did ( I did not post them on the forum).
Hugh will do what he wants to do - no question about that. But we can hope for the way things could happen. If he and Deb decide to make the parting final, then so be it! If there are facts we are not aware of and are critical to his decisions -- then so be it! If certain things happen that is not to our liking, then so be it. It is his life and his future.

Even People.com fell for the story about Hugh being "scolded" by the security guard at Rockefeller Center. Lol - some social media tweeter called Hugh a "Christmas-hating terrorist" with bad intentions on the tree - LOLOL! Although on a more serious note, someone suggested that the guards were concerned about potential terrorists that might harm the tree or cause some unfortunate incident there. The report from People.com people.com/stylewatch-fall-2023-7853570It has likewise been reported on Fox news. fox8.com/news/how-hugh-jackman-got-in-trouble-on-christmas/Lol - Hugh certainly knows his stuff, being a mass communications graduate Jo

But five years ago, he actually sang at the back of the Christmas Tree at the Today Show ( studio is at the front of the Rockefeller Center ( When did they restore the name from Rock Center to Rockefeller Center?)

Pro-Hamas/ pro-Palestinian mobs have disrupted numerous Christmas celebrations and symbols in major cities, including NYC. So the guard was being appropriately vigilant, even if it was only HJ being his exuberant self. Ellen

All the PRs in the world must be envious -- Hugh Jackman creating his own publicity news And it is all over the world ( even in different languages) Mayor Adams should now give the key of city of New York to Hugh Jackman for creating such favorable publicity without them spending a cent! Come to NYC, especially if you want to experience Christmastime in the City! And he was looking so rugged - no one would say he had been "brushed up" with makeup and fashionable clothes as a photo shot would be -- just good ole Hugh excited to use his camera Jo
