Some publications thought he was referring to the clothes he wore for the first time they attended the Met Gala.
He was actually referring to the 2013 Oscars when he wore Tom Ford-designed clothes when he was nominated for Les Mis. Even Deb's jacket &pants ensemble was designed by TFord.
I wonder if he kept the clothes because of its sentimental value -- his first chance to win an Oscar - which sadly did not happen. Maybe wear it again when the Oscar comes?

Hugh Jackman, tall & well built, in black tie -- must be one of the most attractive men at the Met Ball. Some social media denizens wanted him to wear more colorful attire - a costume? What if he turned up wearing his Yellow & Blue suit as Wolverine Jo

Lol - obviously this is where he lives - because it seems he has been watching it daily -- until the eggs hatch. Hey, what are you talking about - I never said I don't believe he could live elsewhere ( I simply noted that sometimes he was thought to be visiting Nouvel) -- why are you imputing things that I never said ?? Of course I would not know everything about him - I am not an encyclopedia on things HJ athough I have followed his career since 1999 - lol! I had the impression that he kept a home office - whether it is in the West Village or Chelsea or Tribeca -- or somewhere in the southern part of Manhattan - that seems obvious - whether it is Greenwich St ( where he was seen walking a lot after the separation and which stretches from the West Village to Tribeca ) - it really doesn't matter to me. I have no intention of looking him up where he lives-- that would be real stalking... I don't claim I know him personally -- although I have met him a few times at the stagedoor and I do have some nice & unusual souvenirs - after all I had seen him since 1999 when I saw Oklahoma! in London. We have been fans of Hugh for a long time ( many of us having seen "OZ" a lot -- moi, 13 times on Bway on 3 trips & 4 times in the Arena Tour in Sydney -- nothing like our Maev who saw it around 200 times ). Many of us here go a long way back! We used to be members of the official TBFO forum ( with Dave as Admin) and which our Admin has resurrected -- and here we are -- continuing our interest in our well-loved performer! Btw, I used to be a New Yorker, too (my practical training part after grad school under the Fulbright program ) and a very early Broadway fan ( having seen Richard Kiley, Angala Lansbury, Mary Martin, Robert Preston, Ingrid Bergman, Anthony Perkins, Robert Goulet, John Kerr, etc, perform). Hugh is one of those who has graced the stage who caught my attention (Of course I did not know who HJ was when I saw him in Oklahoma! - but what a commanding stage presence & a powerful legit stage voice) -- as many of us who frequented the Imperial saw. I still remember that wonderful afternoon-into-evening when we saw TBFO for the last time at the Imperial. Such memories! As William Goldman said in 2003 - HJ is the star of the future - best praise from one of the demi-gods of the entertainment industry - Hollywood to Broadway pundit! Jo Your extensive fan credentials aside, when I said Hugh didn't live in the Nouvel building, you replied with "If you say so." I do. Because I know where he lives and you don't. He's purposely keeping that quiet. Why do you want to know where he lives anyway?

I am not going to debate on how you interpret what I wrote.
You're not familiar with this board. We are interested in Hugh Jackman because he is a favorite performer. In the past, he has shared many photos of where he lived or hinted at it - whether it was the first time at Perry St ( TBFO) or when they actually relocated as a family at Perry St ( I even remember Ava's first taste of snow - literally - when they first moved - because they moved around late Nov/early Dec)... then they shared when they bought that place near Bondi Beach ( Sydney) ... then they let Architectural Digest open their pages to their place in Bridgehampton... and we also learned about when they relocated to Nouvel while he was in TMM...
Sadly, the couple separated -- wouldn't we be curious where Hugh relocated, as it was such a sad & totally unexpected occurence?
we felt so sorry for him... when we saw him walking on Greenwich St the days after that day.
That's it -- we hoped he is comfortable... although I would be honest and say that place is not what he used to enjoy for so many years - a view of water, open space living, beautiful but modern atmosphere...
Hope he eventually finds similar living conditions that he used to enjoy in the past --
I am a naturally curious person - on many fronts.
Hey, you don't barge into a new online community and interpret what are on people's minds ...sometimes we share common jokes that is of no importance to you. If you want to participate, then do so without any malice for anyone here. Sharing something of one's background also eases moving into the familiarity that many oldtime members enjoy among ourselves?

So much speculations generated by his photo about going to the Met Ball - about the supposedly sorry state of his apartment - including a feature on NY Post I have a hunch stuff are bunched in the corner... maybe because he may be moving out - just guessing, of course Jo

Much ado about nothing! Such as this one -- Click baits all Jo

The Jackman's home in the Hamptons is not in Bridgehampton. Hugh has two apartments in Manhattan currently. One is his primary address, which he purchased earlier this year. They are not the Perry Street or 11th Avenue buildings he purchased with his wife.
He has posted very little, like the pigeon nest, from his primary residence. Most of his "home" photos & videos are in the other apartment, including the pre-Met Gala photos.

So much chit-chat on Hugh's bachelor status Some featuring Ava with her Dad -- I can still remember when they threw a party when she first came into the family as a baby - " soft and peaches & cream, is she" ...and Hugh sang that part of Soliloquy where he talks of his new daughter. And now she is likely graduating from high school? Time flies. Jo
